Hello folks.
I extracted the audio file from a Youtube video then transcoded it to m4a,and I think it sounds great.I also add a simple album cover.Hoping you enjoy it.

M4A (AAC) is the actual audio in the MP4 of Youtube videos, so that means that there was no transcoding past extraction, right?
Nicejob

Since m4a(alac,not aac) is a lossless format, technically there is a transcoding process…
But in terms of quality, you are right,it’s meaningless to transcode it…all for psychological comfort.

If you convert any format of music(mp3,mp4,wma,wav,flac..) to lossless (flac, alac, wav, tak…) no quality loss.
Converting lossless to mp3 or mp4 is an audio compression with loss of quality.
