Often games will have their own encryption for their data files. EA is huge on proprietary encryption.
Depending how strong or new the encryption is, yes, there are some games where it’s… difficult to obtain the music.
It largely depends on finding a good hacker to go through and find a way to decrypt it the data, as much as possible.
The xentax forums have the largest support for data extraction and utilities to help with difficult games.
Though, not always a guarantee. Mind you, everyone who ever creates a program or script (QuickBMS, etc) to decrypt and extract/decode the audio files are doing it for free, so don’t expect instant miracles or anything any time soon if it’s for a game that, literally, no one else on the forum is actively seeking support for in the forums (xentax forums, that is).
I suggest searching the forums for those games and then open up a thread, after checking if it’s already being worked on.
But most games from the current generation (7th) are able to be ripped.
