Space Battleship Yamato 2199 – OST Part 3 – Akira Miyagawa et al (320k)

From the remake that raised the barr for all remakes, the spectacular Yamato 2199, come this new entry to the equaly spectacular soundtrack by Akira Miyagawa, composer and son of Hiroshi Miyagawa, the composer for the original series. In Part 1, he elevated his father’s work to new heights, retooling what has always been one of the highlights of this classic anime, it’s music, taking themes that have lived in the hearts of fans for over 38 years and making them sound fresh and innovative. Blend in a few new themes and you get this fine new entry into the vast musical archive of Space Battleship Yamato.

Part 3 continues to offer plenty of thrills and, along with the previous releases, it makes as complete a score as one could wish for. With only a few cues missing, the score more than makes up for it with plenty of music that never made it to the show itself, even though they’ll be readily recognisable to old time fans of the classic series. The DL link includes the 33 tracks from the CD plus 2 bonus unreleased tracks. And as another bonus, a second download containing the available songs that were used both in the theatrical and TV versions. Enjoy. 🙂

I compiled them from the several singles that have come out. The only 2199 related tracks missing are the Instrumental Version of R.I.P. and the Short Version of Fight for Liberty, wich i don’t have and the Male and Female versions of the Project Yamato version of the main theme, as i deemed them repetitive and not really relevant. All the remaining 2199 related tracks are here.
