I’ve just started embarking upon a very long and tedious project:
Video Game FMVs & Cutscenes – YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/user/VideoGameFMV/videos)

So here’s the gist of what I’m doing. If you want to skip reading this paragraph, go ahead:
My goal here is to collect all the non-player moments from as many games as possible in the highest quality available. That means for older games, emulating in settings beyond regular 1080p HD and then scaling them down, whilst for newer games directly converting the pre-rendered video into a widely recognized format at very high quality. All should be in perfect sync with the audio, have no graphical or sound issues whatsoever and no unnecessary upscaling. This means in particular for emulated games, some may take quite a bit of time or may not even be able to properly render at the time, though rest assured I’ll get there eventually. Another drawback is that Youtube limits videos to 30fps, whilst a lot of the clips I’ll be uploading are at 60fps. I do have the original mkv files on my harddrive at the original frame rate if later this changes or a better (yet still as simple) way presents itself, however. If at any point I can’t deliver any more videos I’ll probably pass the project on to someone else.

Now that’s out of the way, let’s get to the good stuff!

Basically, I’ll be uploading all the movies, FMVs, cutscenes and motion sequences from as many games as I can. I’ll be starting with the ones that I’ve played at some point and know pretty well and will eventually move on to more and more. At the moment though there are such games as Super Mario World, Banjo Kazooie, Rayman 3, Worms Forts Under Siege and even Super Smash Bros Brawl but I’ll be expanding that as time goes on! For the time being I’ll be updating and adding them every few days so be sure to check and see what goes up next. I also created playlists based on individual games to make finding what you’re after easier.

Hopefully someone out there enjoys these clips as much as I do. Let me know if you like it, don’t like it, have any advice or even requests (I may or may not take them right away, but I certainly will make a list of all of them for when the time comes).

It’s been a while! Thought I’d give this bump now that I have quite a few up and see what everyone thinks. I’m still trying to complete a lot of sets and have a whole range more to go through and then I’ll take requests!
