NOTES
Words are useless.
Lou Reed has passed away.
Just listen.
Listen and feel the beauty of loneliness and of pain.
"Men of good fortune, often wish that they could die
While men of poor beginnings want what they have
And to get it they’ll die".
"This is the place where we used to live
I paid for it with love and blood.
And this is the room where she took the razor
And cut her wrists that strange and fateful night".
Of course this album is a soundtrack:
It’s a tragic rock opera about a doomed couple,
and addresses themes of drug use, prostitution,
depression, domestic violence, suicide, and love.

Goodbye, Lou…
The "Company" is the best I’ve ever seen in a single album.
and told me the bad news. I couldn’t believe it!
I have the scans if anyone wants/needs them.
Thanks very much for the scans.
The link is in post #1.
I agree with your feelings, I’ve had his whole catalog on rotation since yesterday.
express my feelings the way you did.
Alas, my English is very poor.
Thank you very much for your kind words.
My dear friend DAKoftheOTA, I wish I could
express my feelings the way you did.
Alas, my English is very poor.
Thank you very much for your kind words.
Posting this is expression enough. You do not need to know the English language for something like this. Thanks again
R.I.P Lou Reed
I used to have the original gatefold of this incredible album…
But "Berlin" produced:Lady Day, Men Of Good Fortune, How Do You Think It Feels,
Caroline Says II, The Kids and The Bed.
I don’t know why, but I used to prefer "Berlin" since my teens.
Maybe because there is melancholy in every melody.
Pale Blue Eyes
Here She Comes Now
Walk on the Wild Side
Sweet Jane
Femme Fatale
Coney Island Baby
Satellite of Love
I’m Sticking With You
Oh! Sweet Nuthin

I’m Waiting for the Man

Some of those are The Velvet Underground, but he wrote them all

I love that song and The Velvet Underground & Nico is one of my favorite albums. My favorite is "Femme Fatale"
I like all the songs from TVU&N least the last two of that album. Still my favorite album is their third, "The Velvet Underground".
