I’ve been doing the same thing (checking back every couple weeks for the past 5-6 months). I’ve now started ripping, but it’s going to take awhile. So far I’ve ripped 67 tracks, and that’s just through Episode 8 of Season 1!!! The run-time so far is a whopping 109 minutes. The quality isn’t great (192kbps) but it’s far better than nothing!
AAAAaaaannnnd done downloading. I cannot tell you yet how many tracks or how long. I can say that at least a half dozen-ish tracks per episode per season, so there is quite a chunk of music. Even at mp3 192, the folder with all 5 seasons is about 1.6 gig. :awsm:
Holy cow, that was quick! I guess I can get rid of the 67 files I’ve downloaded so far and let the expert finish the project! : ) I can’t wait until you’re done!
On a side note: of all the tracks now available, the one i’ve been waiting for the most is the track that plays at the end of S3-E24 "Strawberries and Cream" (I think it’s called "Check Please"). Best episode and best scene in the whole series! Anyone else agree?
I am no expert. Just have a nice widget and fast ie speed. It took me what? Three hours to dl, but I organized and named each track as I went too. All I am doing to them is trimming the silence, and naming them with the episode name. I will do one archive for each season.

Be careful to label your files as you do them. File names like "setup", "shootout", "chase" etc are used repeatedly throughout, and so could get confused easily.
That too!

Sounds good!
No thanks, though I appreciate the offer. I can do my own rips to hold me off until your "finished product" is ready. I’m curious though, what "system" are you using to label the tracks? For example, what I was going to use would look like "Pilot: Definition Card" or "S1-E01: Smothered". I’m just curious whether you are doing something similar, or totally different. Thanks! : )
It’s a glorious time for Mentalist fans, all this music, and Season 6 starting in only 15 days!!! I’m assuming you’ve all seen the season 6 promo by this time, I gotta say I’m really excited! I’m thinking Red John has got to be Brett Partridge but only time will tell!
I need a break for a while.

***** Note that on his site, Neely labeled the pilot as pilot, and started with ep 1 as Red Hair And Silver Tape. So the running order will seem off by 1. Seeing Red would actually be ep 7 if we count the pilot as ep 1.
About to start trimming ep 11. We are up to a little over 2 hours of music, so if the trend holds we should have 20-25 hours or so of score for The Mentalist….:b
-Squeals with anticipation- : )
