Square Enix Composers Best – Selection Black Disk and Music Sampler Volume 8

Sorry if this was already posted, but I searched and didn’t see it anywhere. Does anybody have these CDs or plan on getting them? I know the Music Sampler is just now coming out at Tokyo Game Show but I figured I’d make a post for it. The Selection Black Disk features rearranged tracks from the original composers of the songs. Seems like both CDs should have some great tracks. Thanks!

Well, about the Black Disk, I found a link, still haven’t checked/downloaded it myself, it’s supposed to be 320k, but only 123.64MB, seems a bit light for a 31 tracks album.

EDIT : I listened to the album, not really what I expected. It’s actually only one track per composer, 9 in total. Each track is a sort of mash-up of parts of songs from a composer placed end to end to form a full track. And they used the original songs, the only part where it’s "rearranged" is where they had to link a song to another in the track… I was expecting a tracklist as listed in VGMDB with fully rearranged track of each song… I’m a bit disappointed on this.

EDIT2 : Haha forget it I’m sorry. I didn’t even see the black disc was already posted elsewhere. Still waiting for the sampler CD though.

Same here been looking around for the sampler too. no luck so far.

Yeah, I’ve been searching as well. It seems it had to be purchased this time so it’s probably not as well distributed as the prior versions of their sampler.
