"To write the score, I took my cues from a lot of sources � Tiomkin, of course, who is the reference in western film music, but also Victor Young, whose score for Around the World in 80 Days I have always admired. I also used elements of blue grass, Tijuana music, and even a full-scale choir to underscore the last scene in which the hero rides away into the sunset."
