Do you prefer headphones w/DAC?
Receiver w/speakers?

I run PC to Onkyo TX-SR804 digital coax.
Paired up to the Onkyo is a pair of Bowers & Wilkins 686 Bookshelf speakers.
Not the greatest sound stage. But work with what I have.

I have always preferred speakers over headphones. However a quality set of headphones are awesome also!
i know not enough for more expensive things, or which to get for better performance. most online reviews or recommendings are full with fanboys.
But a lot of times, I just use my tinny Macbook speakers. They work just as well for delivering enjoyment. 🙂
Additional playback equipment; Rega and Sony turntables, and a Sony pro-grade Cassette deck for transfers and making real old-school mixtapes for my girlfriend. 😉
Roksan Xerxes .20 for Vinyl playback.
