EDIT: I just downloaded this and the first thing I did was listen to both "Mobius Hotel" 1 & 2. WOW, this is incredible. I never thought it was possible to get a clear recording of those 2 tracks (short of actually reproducing the tracks on piano yourself), even with my own Episode 3 gamerip project that I’m working on; the "Mobius Hotel" tracks that I extracted with "Psound" sounded identical to the heavily muffled, clipped and crummy versions of the gamerips previously available. Now I HAVE TO KNOW how you made this gamerip, it always made me sick to my stomach that Episode 3 never got a quality gamerip while some obscure games got gamerips (lossless in some instances), so I started my project in order to kill 2 birds with one stone (1. provide a gamerip of Episode 3 at the highest quality possible, rendering all prior gamerips obsolete & to preserve the unreleased tracks in their original quality [lossless]).
How were you able to extract such clear audio? It is impeccable…
You’ve made a huge difference!
But, am I hearing things, or you used something like dynamic volume levels or whatever? It’s like volume level changes during each track, and I don’t remember these volume swings in the previous gamerip or official soundtrack (comparing no-vocal versions with the originals). For example, the track "77 promised pain (instrumental) ~ Zarathustra Out of Control" from 0:40 to 0:45. Anyway, this is a minor detail, I don’t think this is entirely bad.
AND…
"50 Acute Neurosis Treatment Facility – Under Attack" is a short voice clip, not the actual track.

I heard the track "77 promised pain (instrumental) ~ Zarathustra Out of Control" from 0:40 to 0:45 and no you’re not hearing things but all the tracks are normalized & mastered. There were no volume swings used if I’m not mistaken. No frequencies were lost and all the tracks are at 48,000 hz and keep in mind Xenosaga III comes in DVD format and it’s gameripped LOL so the sounds are way different since Yuki didn’t put all of these for official use on the soundtrack. Now if she did, then it would be a whole different story.
TKVM for this, you’re Awesome ! 😀
Cheers~
Thank You so very much 🙂
Thank you
Wow, thank you so very much for this! I absolutely love the Xenosaga series and especially Xenosaga Episode III, so this is a real treat 🙂 Thanks again for the awesome effort!
I’ve recently updated & fixed the tracklist, again, thanks to segaist for pointing out the error for track 50 as I gave you recognition. If you guys previously downloaded the tracks, please redownload and replace your current one as this one has all the complete tracks.

I was actually working on a gamerip (a lossless rip) of Episode 3 myself, you beat me to it. What program did you use to extract the audio? I’m using "PSound" at the moment, but I’m new to making game rips so if you know better programs, I’m happy to hear about it.

Well personally I’m an experienced audio mixing engineer so I’m very anal when it comes to audio quality. LOL and recalling to PSound, I do have that program BUT, I prefer using Cube Media Player 2 and I used it along with foobar2000.
I completed the first game when it was released but have yet to play the rest series. Is it worth restarting the series again from the beginning? I vaguely remember some stuff from it, but it is hazy at best. I also hear nothing but bad things from Xenosaga 2 which is not encouraging.
That’s great to hear, funny enough I looked into your previous forum posts and found that you were asking about a proper rip of Ep. 3 all the way back in 2007. You mentioned that you knew of "Psound" and "Cube Media Player" but the programs were (at the time) too complex for you, I’m glad to see that you understand the programs. 😀
After seeing that 2007 post, I gave "Cube Media Player" a shot, and I now see that "Cube" rips the audio better because it extracts the original audio format from the disc. So I imagine that the rip process you did for this goes something like this: Scan disc with "Cube", "Convert to…" option with "export audio" only (thus extracting the original audio format, which is "CRI ADX" or ADX for short), fire up foobar2000 with "kode’s ADPCM decoders" component installed, decode the ADX tracks with foobar2000, and from there you can do all the normalization and other mastering processes to the audio and convert it to any format you want. feel free to correct me if this is wrong in its details.
Thank you for not only creating this rip but for also inadvertently leading me to a MUCH MORE SUPERIOR WAY to make PS2 gamerips.
Lastly, since you beat me to the punch in getting a proper Ep. 3 rip made, I’m compelled to ask if you can make a lossless version of this gamerip. If you can grace us with such a thing, I will literally worship the ground you walk on (or the threads you post on)… 😀

I’ve added an FLAC format. Enjoy!
I BOW TO YOU!!!
A gamerip from episode 2 already exists so there’s no need for me to do one and the tracks sound great. You didn’t know? There’s an in-game soundtrack to episode 2.
EDIT: I just checked the Ep. 2 gamerip, its a "V1" VBR gamerip (not at the best quality possible). You can easily render this gamerip obsolete.
Not a bad idea. Let me see if I can whip something up from it.
But, I have one request I hope somebody can answer. There’s another piano version of Maybe Tomorrow that plays during the first cutscene of chapter two, where Shion is flying the E.S. Dinah to Fifth Jerusalem, all the while narrating the events of the Missing Year. That piano version isn’t on this gamerip or the soundtrack selection. Can anyone help me find a way to get that specific version? This is the cutscene, in case you need a reference: Xenosaga III 016 – Chapter 2 – To Fifth Jerusalem – YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF8cTaP8PL0)
If anyone can get THAT version of Maybe Tomorrow, I’d really appreciate it.
How so? It’s just a click away, what’s the worst that can happen?

Sadly, the tracks used by all the cutscenes in Episode 3 (including the one you requested above) only exist with vocals on them. There is only one piano version. 🙁
Well, fudge. Why do game companies encode their cutscenes like that? And why did Ep. 3 never get a full OST release? I seriously want to know what Namco was thinking doing that!! (It bothers me because I still play the Xenosaga games today, yes, even Ep. II.)
Ah, well. At least I can say I tried. Either way, fantastic job with the rip!!
I am just getting a chance to listen to this, and it sounds great. Thank you very much for taking the time to do this.
Holy crap… thank you so much!
Yeah, this is awesome. Thx!
You’re welcome guys. Enjoy!
Doing my best to get my hands on it.

the entire U-DO YURIEV Song is really good but the vocals get in the way.
