It would seem to my tin ear that the quality difference between the CD and this vinyl track is significantly better…. Was that the rational for uploading this? Thanks!

It’s certainly cut louder than the A&M CD release, so it sounds ‘punchier’. In hindsight, I would have backed off the record level a tad to avoid clipping (though this was about 7 years ago and I had no notion of what clipping even was).
My rationale behind this was that I would always compare the CD to the Vinyl and the vinyl always sounded so much better on my system. This was my attempt at trying to capture that listening experience. It’s the first CD and LP I ever bought too and this track is one of my all-time favourite Main Titles.
