The prologue section lasts around 40 seconds and is mostly ambient synth. I’ve made the traditional Terminator percussive intro quite different here – I thought it needed something more in keeping with modern feature film scores to make it more relevant. Essentially, what I was trying to compose was a version of the theme that sounds somewhat like we might expect to hear in a new Terminator film.

Terminator was one of the film scores that got me so heavily into contemporary film music, so I didn’t want this to be just another fan piece.
