soundtrack info

hello all TIME MACHINE<ST fans,I bought the re recording on LP,I always searched for the original ST on MGM in the 60s&70s,My question is why did it never come out on LP,8tk,cassette when the film was originally out,MGM always puts out the STs of all their films,that was always their trademark,even on import,was their some legal issiue with the composer & MGM with royallities I never read anything,and the score is always published for piano anyway too,anyone know anything,thanks,dan,,
