ThxNot really. The official ost was a va collection, but did have a suite of Tyler’s score on the end. As far as I can tell, that’s all that is available. (At least to the general public…). His web site has a poster that supposedly can be clicked for music, but there are no samples there, at least not yet.

Cherish and nurture the CSI stuff. I have never found any more samples for Keane’s work. Cardoni, Russo and Brown have started decreasing the samples available. Brown in particular, since the cancellation of CSI New York. I wish that their Going away was a sign of an possible album release, but I think it is more due to the fact that since they are no longer current projects, the composers are just cutting way back on them. So it was truly a case of nab ’em while you can…..

13mh13: I use the download helper for Firefox. A Good lil widget. Some sites can block that though. For those pesky sites I use Freecoder Audio tool. It records any sound coming from your speaker. You can then then have it download and convert in one go. The only drawback is that you have to listen to the whole track.

Anyway, I’m totally hooked to stuff from Cardoni, Russo. Only problem (as you note): their Flash sites make it very hard to "extract" using Fx or JD or other URL-based grabber. Haven’t tried Freecoder Audio tho’s. I’m thinking about ol’ fashioned out-to-in via stereo connector. Some of the Flash and cloud players play off playlists so not one-tack-at-a-time is not as common.
Unless you’ve got all the non-CSI Cardoni/Russo stuff in the works, I think I’m gonna have to manual them soon.

I ripped the original (shortened for TV) Into theme and the original (extended) Outro theme.

I’ve played the NCIS, Firefly and Criminal Minds tracks and they all seem fine. By nature I’m not overly critical musically, which should not be taken in itself as a criticism. I’m more of a librarian than a music critic.

Yes, I remember. Only the 7 track promo contains any score. ALL the rest are unofficial VA song compilations. Simonsen does not have a personal web-site with samples anymore? He does have soundcloud though.

Imbd shows Good Wife’s composers as David Buckley and Danny Lux. Mr. Lux’s web-site offers no samples for anything, unless you are a client with a pass. Mr. Buckley’s site does have samples, and 3 from Good Wife, but the player is not streaming any, so there is nothing to hear or rip. Scandal’s composer is listed as Chad Fischer, and a quick look shows no site for him.

It’s good to have Garrow’s Law. Just a shame it was dropped by Auntie, apparently for budgetary reduction needs. Oh well. As it was set in the late 1700’s, it shows that it wasn’t just the colonists that were poorly treated.

Not from me, I don’t think, unless someone can point the way to somewhere he has samples of it. I don’t find a composer site for him. There is a blog, but nothing even indicating he scored for those. Since nothing official has been released, it kind of leaves us with nowhere to turn.

This won’t help but its something to take note of. THE RIVER (ABC) was first scored by Trevor Morris, but then Graeme Revell took over. I think they kept Trevor Morris’ score only in the pilot. If anything does surface, it would be interesting to see why Morris’ score (except for the pilot’s) was rejected. Graeme Revell is…okay. He’s not my favorite but I wonder why the assignment went to him.

I used to watch Dogfights all the time! That was an awesome show. To bad History Channel has gone to crap in recent years.

Correction……I was not aware that Don Davis scored the later episodes. Not that it matters………I loved the show and the music! I also love Don Davis!

Shark9, no. I have never found any samples from any composer for that. I am bummed about too. I love the score in the Pilot, that uses a slowed down, creepy as hell version of the theme as they are profiling….I do have the extended main theme in my tv theme compilation up there, but that’s it.

I see no samples on any of the composer’s sites, and I see no officially released score album. There are several VA song albums but no score. Promos may exist, but I have no access if they do.

This is very odd, and somewhat confusing. The William Olvis sight clearly state NO cd was released, possibly due to a lack of copywrite thing.Apparently Olvis had given a gaggle of tracks to the one member who arranged them to some order. THAT album is not available to buy. From what I saw in a casual glance, you could contact her and receive the album by making a donation to a Tree foundation. I do not know what the sonic images thing is. It’s 2012, so in the same time frame as the previous discussion. I certainly am interested in any further information myself.

The web-site has no tracks for Motive at all. There are 31 tracks for Haven, running 41 minutes. I have that done. Posted a couple years ago. There are 46 tracks for Defying Gravity running 68 minutes, which I have also posted before. Nothing on the site I can see for Motive? That site has not changed since I first encountered which is a couple of years now.

Totally agree. There are too many amazing tracks to try and name all of them. But I absolutely love "Check Please" (last track from season three). The moment I saw the scene I was waiting for that track to be released.
