Does anyone has the 24bit version of this soundtrack? Or just the "Song Of The Lonely Mountain" would be enough too.
It’s available here: https://www.hdtracks.com/index.php?file=catalogdetail&valbum_code=HD794043164743

Thank you so much in advance

If this appears, I’ll post another 24bit OST that hasn’t appeared here yet.

I read on one of the composer forums (James Newton Horward or other) that the 24bit version on HDtracks is upscaled from 16bit to 24bit and not generated from studio masters or other to be natively 24bit.

I also emailed the guy who investigated and got vague answers as he deleted all his messages to the company about it (ie, removed all evidence to back his claim).

I would be interested in this as well to run a scan for "valid_bits".

Hmm tbh, the previews on the website sounds quite different from the 16bit CD version in some songs, they’re much more detailed.

I don’t really have twenty-one dollars to give out to everyone here on the Shrine. Sorry.

I do! Send me a PM…(re. the OST, not twenty-one dollars)

I bought the regular special edition back in December, but personally I’m just going to wait a couple of years for a Complete Recordings set to come out like it did for The Lord of the Rings. I’ve heard a few say that it’s likely that such a set will come out and hopefully it will have a DVD-A like the older sets did.
