The 3000 unit limited numbered collectors edition release the Prometheus Records CD release of the compete score by John Barry (Born Free) for the classic 1982 motion picture HAMMETT directed by Wim Wenders (City of Angels) and starring Frederic Forrest (Apocalypse Now), Peter Boyle (Young Frankenstein & X Files), Marilu Henner (Taxi TV series), Elisha Cook Jr. (The Maltese Falcon), R.G. Armstrong (Friday The 13th-The Series) and Samuel Fuller (The Big Red One). This 1982 film was a totally fictionalised account of an episode in legendary writer Dashiell Hammett’s life, as his latest novel seems to be unfolding before his eyes. Ths CD contains the moody and haunting score composed by John Barry as well as his original period source music.
