Hey guys,
I need some expert opinions from those of you who know a lot about mp3 encoding, quality, etc.
I’ve been searching high and low and for Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds Sound Duel 3 in at least vbr mp3 format. I thought I came across a pretty good quality set of the soundtrack, but I’m a bit confused by the files. Here’s a link to one of them:

My question is why does this file (along with the others) have a mp3 file size of a 320kbps mp3 file, but the details of the mp3 say it’s encoded at 192kbps.
Thanks for any info you guys can provide.

Well the sampling rate is 48KHz instead of CD standard 44.1KHz, so that explains some difference, and it’s got a decent-res album artwork embedded into the file. Removing that drops it from 3.64MB’s to 2.17MB’s. With the sampling rate, I’d say that explains your difference. Just remove the cover art, and add a smaller version if you really want it.

Thanks for that info, Despair. Really appreciate it. I was actually disappointed that this album was not a VBR encoded soundtrack. :-/
Might have to spend some cash to buy this soundtrack and share it on here because having 128-192kbps soundtracks floating out there is terrible.

What can you do, right?
