Has anybody read the book TORN MUSIC- REJECTED FILM SCORES? This score is supposed to be very good – Morricone himself was proud of it but the studio didn’t like it and rejected it. Idiots.

I’m reading it right now, about halfway through. It’s a great book for anyone loving soundtracks and the stories are very interesting. It’s crazy how much of the time it’s not the quality of the music that’s the cause of rejection, but simply the fact the music rights don’t belong to the movie production, American film producers want to own the complete rights to the music, so often they will commission a new score for that reason.

Thank-you for this score, I’ve been wanting to hear it for a while.

I read the book about a month ago. Surprised there was no mention of the Home Alone or The Patriot score situations.
