Chocobo hot & cold help needed (solution not found in any guide that I googled!)

Where I’m at the game: I have just left Desert Palace with Blue Narcissus, and I’m supposed to go to Esto Gaza.

What I have achieved in the Chocobo quest: I have the sea chocobo, and I have found all chocographs from the Lagoon and the forest (I’m being told the same at both places now: Choco tells that there are no more chocographs to be found here). I have dug up every treasure that I had the chocograph for (except one that is displayed in grey, as it needs a new Chocobo ability). I have also gotten treasures from every possible crack and bubble that are available at the moment (I have NOT completed Mognet Central sidequest, though).

Problem:

Now, I know that the next Chocobo ability comes from the chocograph that is comprised of 6 chocograph pieces. I have only four. Why? The game tells me that I’ve found everything from the forest and the lagoon, and I still have only 4 pieces. I can’t continue the chocobo quest. All guides that I have googled imply that I simply should have the ‘Mist Ocean’ chocograph now. But I don’t. So, I decided to ask here. Help me, please, I am desperate!

I think you have to continue and play more until either the Forest or Lagoon allows you to find more Chocographs. If you dont see anymore after Esto Gaza, you have a odd problem…
