Space Battleship Yamato 2199 – OST Part 2 – Akira Miyagawa et al (320k)

From the remake that raised the barr for all remakes, the spectacular Yamato 2199, come this new entry to the equaly spectacular soundtrack by Akira Miyagawa, composer and son of Hiroshi Miyagawa, the composer for the original series. In Part 1, he elevated his father’s work to new heights, retooling what has always been one of the highlights of this classic anime, it’s music, taking themes that have lived in the hearts of fans for over 38 years and making them sound fresh and innovative. Blend in a few new themes and you get this fine new entry into the vast musical archive of Space Battleship Yamato. Part 2 may be smaller and overall not as satisfying as Part 1, admitedly that would be dificult. But as the name says, this is Part 2, with a much probable Part 3 in the future, so in the end, what you get is one single soundtrack which, from the sound of things, will be probably the one of the most complete anime scores i’ve had the pleasure of hearing. A perfect companion for the amazing spectacle that is Space Battleship Yamato 2199. Enjoy. 🙂

I am the same opinion, too.
Akira Miyagawa does very good work.
His appearance seems to inherit a good gene of father.
and,
Not only the music but also the animation work is beyond a former work.
In a good meaning.

more,
A voice actor of Dr. Sado does not have a sense of incongruity than a former work either. LOL
I heard that remake Space battleship YAMATO and worried at the start.
My imaginary fears disappeared.
This remake version is a very good work!
