I read one of his posts from years past, where he said that the link was only up for a short time, and when it goes down, he would not reup, that he never reups his links.

You’re right, he said he doesn’t reup, because it’s too much work keeping track of +5000 uploads. However, he made exceptions when the demand was high enough. Sad he had to go. I’ve seen him on a German board recently where he posted Mr. Robinson in FLAC.
