Here are the end credits suites from Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises encoded with Dolby Headphone from holunder2’s 5.1 FLAC versions. Try it with headphones, and see if you think it’s better than the recording sessions/OST versions? Remember, Zimmer did say he hates stereo…

Enjoy!
I get the joke but…he said so in an interview when the DTS virtual surround sound was demoed a while back, he can’t listen to his OSTs as they are in stereo as opposed to surround which is what he records in.
You killed me ! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Odd. I have been to orchestra performances with certain instrumentalists in the balcony or a choir off stage (Holst The Planets)….. I believe that the choral masterpiece Misere by Allegri has a split chorus…. but I do not know of any music that takes place with someone sit in its center.
Maybe he is a fan of Ring-around-the-rosie?

Vincent Price always thought it ironic that his film THE HOUSE OF WAX in 3D was directed by a one eyed man.
Makes you think about Inception from the 2nd BD Bonus Features. And also the end credits. And an edit of the opening credits.
There’s plenty of end credits to go all around.

sinus’ 5.1 Inception Blu-ray Bonus OST encode would be a good place to start?
And it’s Dolby Headphone in use here not DTS. DTS’s thing is proprietary and you can’t encode just any 11.1 thing like the Man of Steel OST.
That would be a good start.
Plus the isolated score to Big Trouble in Little China.
Would be better than Dolby Pro Logic, imo.
