P. Glass – Koyaanisqatsi DVD-Audio 5.1 (Nonesuch, not movie DVD/Bluray)

I am a huge fan of this score and had no idea there was a DVD-audio version of the soundtrack in 5.1 and would love to obtain this if someone has it. I know it’s a huge file (3.5+GB) so I don’t need it right away so don’t feel rushed. Eventually is all I ask.

I downloaded a bluray with the DTS-HD Master Audio, but DVD-Audio should provide equally great audio too.

Would be fun to compare.

Takes about 19 hours to download and the site doesn’t seem to want to cooperate with Chrome. Alternate browser (*shudder* IE works) is preferred.

Premium link generators (free) have limits and I can’t afford a premium right now.

Also, I should point out that the one on RUtracker is watermarked!

I don’t really know the technology for watermark.
It may not be as easy as simply converting to a new format, recording from the sound card, etc.
It really depends if the watermark is in the frequency itself. In which case, it will always be in the new file until you unlock it and remove the watermark via application. And it has to be the right application with the right password.

Though, I think there are some programs to easily kill the watermark and allow you to convert to various formats, keeping it in 5.1.
I see plenty of downmixed FLACs out there of this. No word about the watermark, so I assume they removed it?

I don’t know. DVD-A is just as new to me as watermark.

Don’t mistake "watermark" for "DRM".
"DRM Remover" won’t remove the watermark. They’re named two separate technologies for a reason.

Well, I don�t use torrent files cause they are much to bad, like every filesharing, the link from codyap09 takes way to long to get, so I will try to find it somewhere else 🙁

I’m still backlogged on ripping and converting other ISO’s I’ve downloaded previously.
I’ve yet to start researching the software and techniques. Especially where watermarks are concerned.

I have it now. Still a great score and a wonderful 5.1 remix but just to be clear that it’s not the original version but a re-recording. I’m not a fan of it simply because it feels toned down in some of the dynamics. I will rip and post the 5.1 track from the Bluray at some point. That’s the best way to hear the original mixes in 5.1.

Awesome. I am getting a HTIB in like a week. Can’t wait to listen to this. I like this is the only 5.1 music disc I want to hear so far. I will download this in the morning.
