I use iTunes too. You should just convert the FLAC to ALAC with a program called dbpoweramp. very easy.

Does this contain anything not in the Complete Recordings?
^This^
You won’t be disappointed 🙂
I also prefer files – mp3 ~ 320 kbp / s.
Here are some suggestions (It’s what I do).
Before you convert FLAC to MP3 I check if the meta-data files are not full of crap. Type "field" with the name of the site ".
Non-Latin characters.
Delete the values of the fields "Total Tracks" and "Full Disc".
It is important to leave the correct value of the range.
This all through the Foobar 2000 Download foobar2000 and optional components (http://www.foobar2000.org/download)
If you maintain a standard for presentation of your files
eg 01. XXXX.mp3 or 01 – XXXX.mp3
Coverta them starting in the Foobar2000 WAV with setting [% tracknumber% -]% title%
Then to convert to MP3 I use Efficient WMA MP3 Converter
Free Efficient WMA MP3 Converter supporting WAV,WMA,MP3,OGG,FLAC,M4A,RA (http://www.wmamp3-converter.com/)
There is no loss of sound. The name of the converted file has the same syntax as the original.
If you have questions send me PM

Thanks for the tip, i will use this for some of the FLAC’s I have lying around, thanks again.
By the way, I agree with you. I prefer 320s as well for usual day to day listening. They are totally fine for listening to on a computer. And I also like the look of my iTunes library.
I like FLACs and CDs for long term archiving, but they take up too much space to have my PC full of FLACs. I almost have 17 days worth of music on there :O

Just for future reference if you want to easily convert FLAC to MP3 use LameDropXPd (http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lamedrop.php). Just drag and drop files into the program’s box and you are converting. 😉

Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ND1acgU9pWs), this should help, hopefully, not my video so excuse the crap music and formatting
I don’t think it’s the best idea to do that, going from one lossy format to another.
Yeah, that is true

No problem! I know how popular this is, i knew i’d make some people happy 🙂
Thank you very much !!! 🙂
Yes, I recommend purchasing the book. I received it for Christmas and love it! I am actually listening to the CD right now. I really want the Complete Recordings sets from the LOTR films because of the booklets (already have digital files), but they are too expensive. The book is more extensive than those little booklets anyway, so I don’t feel I need them anymore. It is interesting when you read through the booklets from the three Hobbit SE scores, then the book. Doug Adams wrote in all of them.
14 The Return of the King Trailer
I remember when the trailer for "The Return of the King" came out, I was mesmerized by the trailer version of "Breath of life" (otherwise known as "Arwen’s Fate") featuring Sheila Chandra. It really evoked some kind of religious feelings to it, like walking in an old buddhist temple while hearing chants. I searched for the song for months, but alas it wasn’t released, so the only source I had was this trailer. Therefore I’m glad that the rarities archive was released, so I can enjoy the song without the FX.
To this day, it still is one of the trailers with the greatest beginnings I’ve ever seen.
Check it out here for yourselves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXOgLg0UZZs

Echoing Nightfoxx, would love a lossless version…;)
