These are among my favorite recordings. This is the first recordering of the Symphony that brought the music to life compared to a ponderous release early in the CDs days (what a difference a conductor can make). You listen, poised for the swashbuckling horns in the second movement. The Sedares Suites are just enough of the music from these three films and played with excellence. Short of a startling air raid horn (who thought that would work?) Between Two Worlds conjures up the film with its empty ship desks swirling with mists and passengers reckoning with their deaths and final destination. And The Constant Nymph is an obvious lift from that rare film’s soundtrack- but what a wonderful melodrama about the creation of art and love and the young muse that makes it all happen… Tomorrow. The tone Poem ‘Tomorrow’ is featured in my other Korngold thread.

I had to put small images, because I didn’t want to cover all the page.
