24/96
The RIP is very good and 24/96k makes a difference. However I would’ve used a different turntable than the Technics 12xx series 😉
IAC … I have this on 24/192 Classic Records, MFCD, and all the expanded editions from the last few years. None are like the UHQR … and this is not really a vinyl vs. digital thing … digital rips of the UHQR (even when compressed to MP3) sound much richer than any other non-UHQR release that I’ve heard. UHQR engineers did something very different (= better, IMO) with their albums … or they eq’d it in a way that make’s ’em sound different.
It’s the only UHQR I have, so I’m not sure the few others in this short-lived MFSL project also sound so different.
