‘Not everyone has the time sitting at their computers 24/7 listening to music.. people have MP3 players and many don’t carry around ipads/tablet pcs/laptops on either’
I’m going to wait a bit after my statement comes before i get my next ost… the reason i say i won’t upload as a flac is because i don’t know how to… I’d let someone else do the FLAC version

There is really no excuse on this one.

There is no Problem in converting existing FLACs to MP3 for your iPod or Mobilphone or whatever Personal use, i do it too,
aslong as you dont spread fake lossless stuff around.
Means, converting MP3s back to FLAC.
So enjoy your mp3. What’s the thread for?
which is totally ok? Important is, you want to share at all 🙂
Let me respectfully disagree in one detail though:
it does not take you to be at the pc 24/7 to be able to rip flac or convert to mp3.
I am no savvy either. Granted there are most likely difficult and not-so-difficult programs.
And I would not want to take too much time either. There is a difference though between a specific amount of time (say : not more than 30 minutes?) and 24/7 😉
In my experience, it is a matter of interest though. I have to set priorities, and of course I will not spend time things that I am not interested in (unless I HAVE to)
Which – of course – again is totally ok. So no worries …
Wat? DVD’s don’t use either.
DVD-5’s are cheaper than DVD-9’s, especially in bundles.
DVD-5 = 4.2GB
DVD-9 = 7.8GB
And DVD-R’s seem to be much cheaper than a pack of CD-R’s, from all the places I look at.
CD-R’s are generally only good if you want to play back stuff on an ancient CD device (car, stereo, etc).
With MP3’s really look around for a good front-end program to look at the options.
You can set the cut-off to 22kHz so you get the full range from the original CD format (44.1kHz/2 (per channel).
Before I bought some external hard drives (one per year), I was burning all the lossless downloads to blank DVD-R’s and keeping MP3 conversions on my portable MP3 player.
also some of these FLAC only albums take FOREVER to download
Yes, but it’s not the same Pleasure !!! 😉
.
But Amanda have reason to…depend also "the Material" you have for listen your Music to ( very Important !!! )
