Chad Seiter – Star Trek (The Game) Rip

Hello, friends. So, ever since the release of the Star Trek video game a few weeks ago, I’ve been desperate to get my hands on the full score.
The music is truly wonderful, Chad Seiter takes Michael Giacchino’s theme and adapts it into 70 minutes of epic orchestral game score.

Anyway, I waited for somebody to rip it, but alas, nothing really appeared. People could only get their hands on a few tracks from Seiter’s Soundcloud.

I’ve been hanging around here to find some of my favorite scores in otherwise unobtainable forms, so I figured it was time to give something back to the community.

Hours and hours and hours later, I figured out how to break through the cryptic .CACHE files in the game’s installation folder, and extract all of the data.
From there, all of the audio data was still raw, so I had to throw it into Audacity using the "import raw audio data" command. About 3/4ths of the tracks turned out ok,
but for some reason some of them sound incredibly staticy and they are un-listenable.

Anyways, with the tracks I could get, I’ve compiled and album 4 times longer than any current release of the game’s music, so I hope it will do for now.
There was something like 50 tracks, so I took it upon myself to edit them all together and condense them into a very manageable 15 track album.
I haven’t actually played the game, so the tracks are probably horribly out of order. Also some of the editing is a little bit obvious, because game music doesn’t have
much flow to it. Still, I think the end result is pretty freaking listenable because I organized everything by themes and type of music- for example, some tracks
are suites of ground-based action music, one track is a supersuite of all of the Gorn material, one track is a combination of all of the mountain-jumping cues, etc.
I haven’t uploaded anything to here before, so I’m pretty sure I screwed something up in the process. Couldn’t figure out how to get the giant picture or the hidden URL..

Also I hope you like the horrible track names. I’m especially proud of track 9, that one took some research.

EDIT: All tracks are MP3’s in 320 except for the sections from Seiter’s soundcloud, which are probably a little bit lower (256 I think.)

Thanks and nice job! I’ve wanted to get my hands on this score ever since I heard snippets of it in previews and BTS videos for the game. I’d definitely throw money down on an official soundtrack. Way to go, Mr. Seiter!
