Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ Instrumental Collection

First up is a complete pre-recorded orchestra set of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s entire score for the show originally produced in 1992 for the second Japanese cast recording (the original Japanese cast recording was first released in 1988 incidentally). It was later used again for the Japanese 1999 10th anniversary cast recording and in between both releases, was used in place of a pit orchestra for the main and touring Japanese productions of the show.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This bootleg is in mono unfortunately and does also suffer from some sonic disturbance on the higher frequencies. However, those with a good understanding of the Japanese language maybe able to source a much better quality set from a similar type forum in Japan! If so, be sure to post it here please!

Next up are the original 1986 ‘Overture’ and title song click tracks as used on numerous productions and cast recordings of the show world-wide (they were subsequently replaced by newer, more rockier versions in 2007). This set contains both the ‘with click’ and ‘without click’ versions of the tracks and features the pre-recorded bass, organ, drums, guitars, synth strings and effects that were unique to the show at the time.
