This 3-disc set contains the complete theatrical film score and songs from Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.” Also included are instrumentals, alternates and the 2010 album with some extras. All the music in this set is free of sound effects. Therefore, some tracks may sound rough and low quality. This set does not include “Human Again” or the short “Cleaning the Castle” cue from the special edition version of the film. Those pieces are currently works in progress and will be uploaded separately (along with some other bonus material) once they are completed.

Disc 1 features the score and songs as presented in the theatrical version of the film with the exception of “Something There,” which uses the special edition edit since the theatrical edit ends abruptly. Disc 2 features song instrumentals, alternates and source music. Disc 3 features the 2010 album and song instrumentals that differ from those on disc 2.

The sources of this edit include: "Beauty and the Beast" Diamond Edition Blu-ray and DVD, "Beauty and the Beast” Platinum Edition DVD, “Beauty and the Beast” Special Edition album, “Beauty and the Beast” sing-along cassette and disc 2 from the "Music Behind the Magic" album.

After I complete and upload the "Human Again" instrumental, "Cleaning the Castle" cue and other bonus material, I am going to take a break. I started working on this set in early 2011 and only recently completed it. I will be re-doing "The Little Mermaid" for my next project.

If you need a place to put Beauty and the Beast Isolated score videos, I think there’s a site called daily motion or something like that. You may want to try uploading your stuff there.

I already tried Dailymotion, but the first video was removed immediately. I was going to use Vimeo, but they have an upload limit of 500mb per week. I could try Facebook, but I don’t know and can’t find the upload limitations.

Also, you may want to wait until the Blu-Ray edition comes out in October so that you’ll be working on a brand new audio transfer! Comes out May 1st.

At least a month, but probably more than a month. I work on these projects in my spare time, which I don’t have a lot of right now. That is why it took me over 2 years to finish this set. I am still in the process of organizing all my sources for "Human Again" and preparing them for final mixing. The tracks contain a lot of sound effects and it takes time to remove all that from the music. I am also working on vocal only versions for select songs.

Edit: I think EmpireSB should have a credit somewhere on the back cover. I know he didn’t create any of the music, but he did an amazing job of put together this set.

Empire SB- Okay great! And thanks for taking the time to do this! I also have one more suggestion: Since multiple video sharing websites don’t work, why not just put it on 4shared? I know it sounds crazy, but I think you can zip the complete or multiple video files up (or something) and post them there. I think putting them there would be much better. Only the people that read this forum (unless you announce it publicly) will have the link, which means less people will know and thus not creating a whole lot of attention. And if you give the file a clever name, I believe that the chances of your file being removed will decrease. This was just an idea that I thought of. Maybe it will work.

Youtube has gone downhill since Google took over and Google itself is not reliable as a search engine when looking for bootlegs etc.

Anyway, I’m glad you liked the Disney stuff I shared on here – did you download any of the MTI instrumental tracks I uploaded for example? Also, did you ever do any work on just the main songs from ‘Aladdin’?

Finally, I’m surprised more people don’t know about that Disney sing-along cassette tape series featuring the original instrumentals. Shame they only did a few and that they missed ‘Aladdin’ out altogether despite doing ‘Beauty and the Beast’ before it and the three that followed it. Oh well.

Yes it was part of the range. However, the instrumentals were completely ruined by the inclusion of some horrible midi instrument playing the tune very loudly across every song!

The only genuine and unaffected ones in the range were ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (already posted here), ‘The Lion King’ (http://www62.zippyshare.com/v/79182562/file.html), ‘Pocahontas’ (http://www66.zippyshare.com/v/36534924/file.html) and ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ (http://www2.zippyshare.com/v/67524163/file.html).

There was also a compilation release called ‘Disney Favourites’ that had ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’ from ‘Toy Story’ and the single version of ‘A Whole New World’ from ‘Aladdin’ on it (http://www50.zippyshare.com/v/97236780/file.html).

Hey EmpireSB! There is something that I want you to possibly look into. I was watching the original 20-minute demo for Beauty and the Beast that was made in London and throughout the movie, instrumental versions of songs and cues from the movie are in there (added later). I am not saying that they are good for extracting the score from (sound effects and reverberation, etc.) but as I was listening, I noticed some music that I never heard before. You can hear it from 16:12-16:31, 16:39-16:45 and 16:53-17:42. I believe that it might be from a missing cue or at least part of an existing cue that just wasn’t used (e.g. the beginning part of "To the Fair" in the album soundtrack and "The Spooky Forest" Alternate cue on Music Behind the Magic) I was wondering if you could take a look at the audio bits and perhaps extract them and combine them together. I think it would make a great bonus track that you could have with the "Human Again" tracks. Thanks

Yes, I do. I work with the highest quality available sources and don’t downgrade the files until I am completely done. The WAV files are very large in size.

I thought about including that cue as a bonus, but I’m not sure if it was done by Alan Menken or if it’s simply stock music. The rest of the music in the demo is from the film (both released and unreleased), so it could very well be an unused cue.

Yes, I will upload the FLAC version in the future. However, many of the unreleased tracks won’t be 100% lossless since lossy sources were also used in this edit.

Hi, everyone. Sorry for the long hiatus, but I’ve had a full schedule since my last post. I have finally completed all of the "Human Again" tracks, which can be found in the first post.

Thank you, anakinbetrayal, for reuploading the files. As of July 25, those links in post 78 (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/menken-h-ashman-beauty-beast-complete-score-132807/4.html#post2381424) are still active. Alternatively, I have included fresh links to the 3-disc edit, isolated score videos and "Human Again" tracks in the first post. If those links become inactive, please let me know and I will provide new links as soon as I can.

The "Cleaning the Castle" cue, which plays before "Human Again," is about 85% complete. I will upload that track and the FLAC files as soon as I am finished. As for the other bonus material, unless there if a high demand for vocal only versions of select songs and for an unused cue, I am going to hold off on completing those for the time being.

which unused cue referring to?

The unused cue can be heard in the "Alternate Scene Open" extra on the Diamond Edition Blu-ray. The cue starts at about 17:25 and lasts under a minute. It may be stock music rather than an unused cue. The rest of the music in the video was done by Menken and used in the actual film, so it could very well be his music.

I really loved the isolated score videos of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ you uploaded to youtube and am busy making my own right now for the 2004 film version of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Phantom of the Opera’. I’ve got about 70% of the music from that in clean instrumental form now thanks to a process I happened upon that removes vocal echo from tracks, and will be focusing on ‘Les Miserables’ next 🙂

You’ll need to create an account to download the files, but you don’t need a premium account. once i signed in, i was able to download the files. It seems like you’re limited if try to download as a guest so you will have to create an account to download the files.

This 3-disc set contains the complete theatrical film score and songs from Disney�s �Beauty and the Beast.� Also included are instrumentals, alternates and the 2010 album with some extras. All the music in this set is free of sound effects. Therefore, some tracks may sound rough and low quality. This set does not include �Human Again� or the short �Cleaning the Castle� cue from the special edition version of the film. I love the higher sound quality on Disc 1, but I was wondering if the songs with singing vocals could be re-edited with all spoken vocals INCLUDED in the songs, like the Album Version? There’s at least one song, maybe more, that is longer in length than the original Album Version (e.g. "Be Our Guest"), and I would LOVE to have the full version of the same quality on Disc 1, instead of having to mix in the lower-quality songs and not being able to fully enjoy the flawless sound quality that is featured on Disc 1. Is it possible for you to do this? I would be SO grateful if you would be willing to re-edit them!
