Is the first score any good?

Is the first score any good?

Yes, I’d certainly recommend it, but Coulais’ effort emphasizes mystery and suspense, which probably reflects the tenor of the film itself (but I’ll leave that to someone who has actually seen the film to qualify) and so his orchestration is subtler, writing for smaller ensembles (including higher profile use of electronics) that produce a more transparent sound. You won’t find the sort of bombast that Towns exerts in the sequel.

The first score is great but I think you have to know the movie to truly appreciate it!
Thanks for this, the movie was terrible (the first one is great!) but the score might be good! I don’t really remember!
