Yu Yu Hakusho Memorial BOX

Well, I managed to find & properly convert the Yu Yu Hakusho Memorial BOX (it wasn’t originally lossless or flac mind you). Unfortunatly the zipped files have the track titles messed up so I’ve included a non-translated tracklist in case anyone wants to fix their titles. I couldn’t find a translation of the titles, although one could probably figure most of them out by hearing them & matching them up to the original songs on the other osts. I just don’t have much time to try sorting them out myself at the moment. Sorry about that.
Hope though they can still be enjoyed & add a completion to the YYH Mega Collection.
(***NOTE*** : I don’t take credit for the soundtracks as I myself found them & downloaded them from another source. I give credit to the original uploader although I can’t remember where I got them from at the moment since I had them on my computer for the past 2 & 1/2 months working, converting, & organizing them.)

***UPDATE*** Since I like trying to be thorough on what I do, I searched through my favorites folder & my old save files to find where I originally downloaded the Memorial Box. So all credits go SOLELY to the original uploader. I only converted the original WMA files to MP3s & provided them that way for easier downloading (& plus my computer just dosn’t play many audio & video files properly since it had crashed many times and is not working properly anymore, which is why I’m in the process of getting myself a new one). Hope this tidbit of info helps! ^_^

Oops, sorry for not explaining that part. No, they were originally Windows Media Audio file (.wma). And even though, I know most soundtracks are uploaded like that, I had much trouble playing those files on my computer, hence why I had to convert them & organize them back in their respective folders. It’s mostly cause my computer is a bit old & I had to get it repaired a couple of times since it crashed more than once in which most audio/video files give me problems to play & I have to convert them. Hope that helps! 🙂

I’m not sure what you mean ‘even if the source files are questionable’, but I hope me adding where I got them originally above helps clear any doubt on them. Nevertheless, enjoy! I glad that you can add them to your collection. XD

What Vyse is trying to say is that is pointless to convert a WMA of a 96 KBPS of bitrate to a MP3 with a bitrate higher than 96 kbps… It wont sound better either. You can do a transcode to 320/256 CBR and it still sound as the WMA..

And furthermore, if is what i think it is (a previous rip of Nicovideo/Youtube to WMA 96 kbps… Uff) The quality is garbage.

And im not sayin im not thankful for this but the story of this is:

– Someone ripped from CD, uploaded to nico/youtube
– Someone ripped from nico/YTB at 96 kbps and in WMA
– You re-transcode the WMA to MP3 (this step wont ever affect quality, dont worry).

VS

– Someone ripped the CD at WMA 96 kbps (the poster in tumblr?)
– You re-transcode them to MP3 > 96 kbps (wont ever affect the quality

Funny thing is also, I wasn’t going to convert them. Instead I was going to post the original uploaders links with the source of the links, but when I personally started having trouble in playing them on my computer, I decided converting them to mp3 would probably fix the problem. It did for me since my computer is so on the down side, so I have to make due with what I can untill I’m able to get a new one. And I thought, well usually it is easier to get music files in mp3 formats although losseless & flac are preffered by many due to higher quality, but in this case, one would have had to have the original cds to rip them in such quality. I di manage to find them too by, but I’m out of being able to buy them at the moment due to budget & stuff. 🙁 I personally would have love the original cds myself, but this is good for now, I guess. Thanks again for explaining & glad they still can be enjoyed. ^_^

I believe that there’s only a few instrumental songs in between the vocal songs if I’m not mistaken that weren’t on any other soundtracks from the YYH Mega Soundtrack Collection. I have to get around to hearing them again just to be sure.

My memorial box was ripped directly from the Cds in mp3 VBR -v0. I have to upload it anyway for someone, so if you want I can put the link here too.
You might want to replace your mp3 for better ones. 🙂 since converting from WMA is not really reliable. :/

The only new thing in the box are 2 unreleased tracks from the soundtrack score. The rest is not new. Everything was already released before.

Don’t worry. I know that uploading & peoples’ requests can be overwhelming, so don’t worry. But thanks for letting me know what’s new & common in the soundtracks. I’ve yet to hear it completely since I’m so darn busy I hardly have had time to listen to the soundtracks I get or download. I know it sounds crazy, but well that’s life.
