I’m always searching that version….
thank’s for the albums anyway
Thanks for the compliment Mr.MnM! I totally agree with you, these films represent the power music can have on the movie going experience. They sure don’t write music like they used to, now more than ever scores sound like carbon copies of each other, evoking whatever sound is popular.
Yes indeed, But still in nowadays we have good and fresh music. I like how composers respect each other’s works and Also how Themselves serves to inspire and to move forward with new notes 🙂
Definately, I’m not saying there are no good scores to be had in this day in age because there are masterpieces coming out and ones that have yet to be written. What I am saying is that due to the widespread nature of media, composers seem more aware of each other’s work, which can lead to similiarities found within their own scores. Therefore it can seem as though everyone is chasing a certain "popular" sound. After all, how many trailers have you seen with the ear blistering sound of Inception? This isn’t so much a bad thing as it is bad timing, because it can be hard to weed out the scores that are expanding on what has been done before and those that are merely going through the motions.

For information, your album "fantasia (1940)" is not the original soundtrack by Leopold stokowski recorded in 1940, but the version conducted by Irwin Kostal in 1982. This was an idea of Disney Studios to make new records in better quality. Some purists would prefer the original version, but I like this one too. So thanks for sharing 🙂
Just sayin’…
