I doubt anyone has this, seeing as it literally came out today. But if anyone does get it sometime in the future, may I request it be uploaded here?

May I also request FINAL FANTASY XI – Musicbox Adventures, a mini-soundtrack available to those who pre-ordered Seekers of Adoulin from Square Enix’s website?

I just bought "Seekers of Adoulin", yesterday. But, what I didn’t notice was that it is an EXPANSION…..I know, stupid me. ;(
So, if, someone can walk me through on how to get this expansion working, I’ll try and see if I can rip all the songs from this FF Game. 😉

@Qqqqqqwe: Do you have the main Final Fantasy XI game as well? You need the original version of FFXI before you can play any expansions. We’ll see which songs need to be ripped that aren’t on the soundtrack, without playing the expansion and listening to the OST there isn’t any way to tell, so I’ll get to that as soon as I can.

Incidentally, FFXI music files are usually an uncompressed form of wave file with the extension ‘.bgw’. The original game’s OST plus the first two expansions could be easily played in any media player by simply copy and pasting all the files with .bgw as a file extension, and then changing that extension to .wav.

However, due to the obvious piracy SE changed the format after Chains of Promathia so that trick no longer works with all expansions that came after that (and as far as I know, the ‘new’ version of the .bgw format still hasn’t been cracked – the newer expansion bgm files will not work if converted to wav either, not will they play even in their native format in Altana Viewer or with the ‘bgw’ plugin for Winamp).

Anyway, good luck with ripping the Adoulin soundtrack anyway – there were some teaser tracks from the expansion up on the Adoulin page on the FFXI website, but a couple were broken and would not play. Figures I guess.

EDIT: hehe, nice to see some other FFXI players from Quetza here on the Shrine, although I admit I haven’t been on FFXI much lately (due to having commitments in another in-development FF MMO which shall remain nameless for the time being ;)).

Very interested in this release too.
