CROSSROADS (unreleased score by Trevor Jones) (lossless/flac)

Songtress Britney Spears made her film debut in this 2002 romantic comedy about 3 friends who travel from Georgia to California so Spears can audition for a record label. The film received miserable reviews, finding the plot just a flimsy excuse to showcase Spears singing talent (the film was financed by MTV). Unsurprisingly, the commercial OST on Jive Records included only pop vocals from the movie, completely ignoring Trevor Jones’ instrumental score. Listening to his music you’d never guess it was for a teen movie as, apart from 4 rock-ish numbers, the music is slow and sensitive, and highly reminiscent of his subtle score to Crisscross.

12 tracks totaling about 32 minutes.
Good stereo sound. No dialog or sfx.
Tau and EAC indicated all tracks on this disc to be lossless.
Disc was ripped to FLAC using XLD.

Hi. Could anyone send me the music on another format ? I can’t seem to figure that thing out..

The only way to keep the audio tracks lossless (and at a smaller size) was to rip them to FLAC. The FLAC tracks are zipped together in a folder, and you’ll need software to unzip the folder to open it. 7-zip is pretty standard for the PC (and free) as is Stuffit Expander for the Mac. Once you unzip the folder, you can convert the FLAC files inside it to whatever you want, like WAV or AIFF or Mp3. But you need software to convert the files too. XLD is free for the Mac, and I hear Foobar2000 is good on the PC. Other users here can help you too. Keep in mind that you’ll need both an un-zipper and a converter for many of the downloads you find here, not just mine.

TIP: You will be downloading a file in .7z format and you will need a program to open the file. Most PC people use 7-zip, and on the Mac you can use Stuffit Expander. Both are free. In order to retain the audio quality of the original, the individual tracks will be in FLAC format. If you want something else (like Mp3) you will need a conversion program. XLD for the Mac is free, and I’ve been told that Foobar2000 is a good choice for the PC.NOTE: This disc contains unreleased music. As of the upload date it had not been registered with the US Copyright Office. However, anyone with sufficient cause can request I remove the link by contacting me by PM or by entering a reply.
