The Sarah Jane Adventure Music from Series 1 & 2 SFX FREE

Hi Dudes and Dudettes,

Here is something I put together for another site around 4 years ago, and I thought maybe some people here would like it as well.

There has never been, and it seems never will be, a release from the BBC of the music from the Sarah Jane Adventures, despite some excellent music created by the very talented brothers Sam and Dan Watts. This is a real shame. However, fear not my trusted SJA fans, as I have cobbled together some most excellent tracks from all over the place. These tracks are NOT rips from the DVDs and are completely clean of sound effects etc.

I remember seeing a collection of SJA music on the now defunct demonoid. Unfortunately the quality was pretty bad, and I felt something better could be done. So I set about scouring the internet for weeks looking for these tracks and trying to locate the best possible quality. These are the pick of what I found (I have more but decided to do just enough to fit on a single CD as there was not enough other tracks to make up a second disc and most of what was left was at to low a bit rate). There are 16 tracks all together and runs for just over 79 minutes.

These files are encoded at 192kbs. I can’t guarantee what the original bit rates were as I recorded some of these tracks from the composers websites, so please don’t have a go at me ;).

Please forgive the cover design as it is not up to my current standards as it was designed in 2009. I may revisit the covers at some stage and If I do I will pop them up here.

So sit back and listen to the masterpieces from Sam and Dan Watts.

I have a set fx free from the composer’s site that is 26 tracks, 28 minutes. I don’t see any lap-over, unless these are in the melodies.

There could well be some in the medleys, however, I didn’t just get the tracks from their websites, I got them from else where as well. I can’t remember the site now, but it was a musicians web site and they used to have some pages on there with tracks not on their own sites. Download and have a listen Amanda, see if there is anything you don’t have.

I really love these guys music, and it deserves a proper release not my hacked attempt

I remember this music. A hell of a lot of it was ripped off of other stuff from what I remember.

The Mona Lisa’s theme was incredibly reminiscent of Jack Sparrow’s Theme, and an almost note for note remake of "No Splashing No Diving" from Wall-e was used twice in the Series 3 finale.

Thank you Scotty. They are nice tracks, and thank you for liking my covers, I think I could do better if I revisited them, but for now I’m working on the cover for Voyager Caretaker. I’m quite pleased with how that is going at the moment, which is very unlike me 🙂 I’m probably going to over cook it and spoil it any moment LOL.
