This was posted to the shrine a few years ago. It’s not a rip, nor is it quite complete, but the sound is very good — a heck of a lot better than what we got for the Caspian sessions!
Anyone who’s interested can use this and the OST to make a more complete presentation following the directions here (http://chrono-score.blogspot.com/2012/02/chronicles-of-narnia-lion-witch-and.html).
I agree. HGW sure can create some organic magical themes when he stays away from his usually synthetic approach. Look at kingdom of heaven and prince of Persia for instance which are two of his best scores IMO.

Like says hahah123, this is not the Recording Sessions.
Well, this is simply false. These ARE, in fact, the recording sessions…just not all of them. Something doesn’t have to be complete to be considered the recording sessions, although, these days, everyone who is a fan of film music thinks he knows all his musical classifications. Suppose that these are the recording sessions–but that they are only the sessions recorded of Harry Gregson-Williams’ works. All the cues still missing possibly weren’t written by him; rather they were possibly written by Stephen Barton, the only other person I know of who helped Harry in this endeavor. So, again, these are the recording sessions. They have also been known to be labeled as an expanded score. But they are not complete. You can still have something be properly called the recording sessions and not have it be complete–like the Pirates 2 sessions that surfaced late last year.

Dude, no-one’s liked, mentioned, or thanked you for this?! It’s beautiful! Thanks! 😀

My GIMP fingers are getting itchy…
I guess not. 🙁 In all honesty it is one of my favorite covers I’ve ever done. Mostly just because the image is awesome, but whatever. 😛 The score is nice also. I’m not usually a big fan of HGW but his Narnia scores are nice.
ps. if you prefer "Complete Motion Picture Score (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/official-custom-covers-thread-90457/102.html#post2555306)" instead of sessions for the wording…
Tracks are in chronological order (except for disc 1, track 3, which isn’t used there, or anywhere as far as I know) but were named by a moron. All the names come from scenes/dialogue in the movie but are like offset, kind of like how the first Pirates of the Caribbean OST got named. The name for one track more accurately fits the track after it (or before it, can’t quite remember) or it better fits a cue that isn’t on these sessions. Which leads me to:
Also, does anybody have a sources breakdown for this? Is it actually the sessions, or partial sessions?
Also from what little knowledge I have about this (perhaps so little that I just made it up myself and just went with it as being fact), this is actually the sessions–just not all of it. "incomplete recording sessions" and "expanded score" are both fair labels (as would be "recording sessions" as long as you know material is missing). A couple cues from the beginning, a couple more cues throughout, and 60% or so of the final battle music is missing. Supposedly, the missing tracks are by Bart Hendrickson, making these exclusively HGW recording sessions (this is the part that I don’t know if I made up or heard from somebody else).
While this is nicely expanded from the OST, I’m still hoping the full thing surfaces at some point in my lifetime.
@Lockdown – I await with eager anticipation!
