Also, this one really frustrates me, as the great thing about Dead Space’s scores used to be that there was a crazed, cracked up orchestra flailing their bows in wildy malevolent glee, under pristine recording conditions, something that rarely happens in the videogame soundtrack world. Unfortunately, just like with Mass Effect 3, the original composer seems to have been strongarmed out of this production, and it shows, with many of the tracks sounding more like they belong in a Gears of War spinoff. I guess it’s pretty much just like Dead Space 3 as a whole, a quality production, just that the magic is gone.

Rest in turmoil, you mad bastard, 🙁
