I’ve been lurking here for years, but this is actually one of my first posts beyond a simple "Re-upload please!"
Ryu Umemoto is pretty much my favorite video game composer and I’ve got almost all his Rare Tracks and a few other of his soundtracks. There was always one, though, that I couldn’t find: the soundtrack for Groundseed, a random little Japan-only RPG. The only place you could ever hear the music from this game was on his Attack Rate CD, which was what actually got me into his music.
If you know about his Rare Tracks series, you’ll know this was a special soundtrack released in extremely-limited quantities, and for months I’ve been trying to track it down to no avail. I can’t find any rips or other soundtracks of the music, either, so I decided to do it myself after I found it in its original format after a quick Google search.
This is my first time ripping anything, so I apologize if the quality sucks or if the bitrate’s too low. I used the VGMdb entry (http://vgmdb.net/album/12576) for the Rare Tracks CD for the song order and approximate lengths.
Tell me what you think!

EDIT (12/3/13): As per Ryusennin’s comment, I’ve added a missing track, "Opening [Demo Version]" or "Shop Demo" to the soundtrack. Thanks again! It’s a great track; can’t believe I’ve gone without it for so long.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll keep that in mind for next time.
Most of Grounseed’s OST is actually the work of Ryū Takami (best known for his Yūgiri soundtrack). Umemoto essentially contributed to the shop demo (http://kaminarimon.free.fr/tmp/Grounseed_20.mp3), which is unfortunately missing in your archive. Incredibly enough, this brilliant preview theme is absent in the game itself.
Nice rip. Which player/library did you use?

I ended up using a combination of the Hoot Player, Virtual Audio Cable, and Audacity. I found the actual soundtrack here (http://snesmusic.org/hoot/v2/?system=PC-98&page=18), and followed their tutorial for setting up the Hoot Player. It was pretty simple from there, really.
I actually had no idea this was mostly Ryu Takami. Makes sense, considering how often they worked together in their previous soundtracks, but it’s still surprising. I always considered Groundseed to be my favorite of Umemoto’s music; how surprising that it mostly isn’t even his!
Thanks a lot for the other track. I did notice it was missing from my soundtrack, but like you said, it wasn’t in the rip I got from the Hoot Archive. I’ve gone and added it to my archive, but I have to ask, where did you find it?
What is Yūgiri?
