This is truly my first upload, and what a task for my first "up." After scouring through the film and the recently leaked sessions, Pearl Harbor has become one of my favorite film scores from Zimmer to date. Such a shame that most of the music heard in the film has never seen the light of day until now. My work on this score has been mainly compiling, renaming and organizing, and remastering this score for a better listening experience. My compatriot StRuPiE is continuing work on a "Definitive Edition" of this score, as was done with The Thin Red Line. However, mastering the leaked sessions into a definitive film version is really beyond my expertise. All that has been done for this upload is: cut the silence from the beginning and end of each cue; rename and place each cue in proper film order; and remaster each cue in 320kpbs (no FLAC request, please!). Every track contains ZERO SFX. So again, this is probably the most complete version of the score to date, and in the best quality. StRuPiE is working on a more complete version, though it may contain slight SFX from what he has told me. Each track has been renamed to better fit the context of the scene and each has an alternate name in parentheses. So without further ado, here she is:

What exactly does this part mean? The highest quality level that the majority of this material is available in is only 128kbps, right? It was posted by Zordonin last week. So when you said "remaster", you probably meant to say "up-converted the available material to preserve the quality after I trimmed the silences"…yes?
I believe when you converted that all to FLAC and not to MP3 again, you had keeped the quality. All what is now keeped from the quality is just bigger filesizes…
Many many thanks, bgray1016
i really hope he doesnt mean that he just loaded the 128kbps mp3 files into a format-converter and set the output format to 320kbps and expected the quality of the audio to magically improve…
Anyway, reading your track list, I noticed some other cues missing :
– Young Rafe To The Rescue (Alternate – it’s the first part from the track "Brothers" of the Original Score…just few seconds of music 😉 )
– News Flash #1
– Start of Something New / Spy Romp / Danny and Evelyn, Pt. 2 (A short version, not including Spy Romp…)
– Evelyn Awakes (Film Version)
– Dorie The Hero (alternate version from the Sessions)
– Infamy OR Sinking Of Oklahoma (it exists 3 versions for this one, without the "insert part" : First one is this Sessions version, second one is the Film Version (from the Isolated DVD Score), and the last one is from the first Almost-Complete-Score-46-tracks we know (a version without choir…). This version can be found and heard in the 3-CD edition)
– Attack part 3- Hospital : Not sure about that one, but if I’m right, it exists a version with choir…from the Isolated DVD Score
– War OR 30 Seconds Over Tokyo : 2 versions missing : The first one is just a short version (track "War" from the Original CD) and the second version is from the Almost-Complete-Score-46-tracks. Until the Sessions has been leaked, we didn’t have the Film Version. This version can be found and heard in the 3-CD edition.
I noticed that you make three mistakes : The track you named "Evelyn Gets the News (alternate) is the Film Version, not the alternate. Same thing with "Missing fleet / japanese disappear (alternate)", "Together ? / Bad News (alternate)"…which are Film Versions, not the alternate ones 🙂
Finally, the track "Epilogue / End Plane" is still damaged… Here a link, I try to repare it with "Pearl Harbor at sunset" (better than nothing) : EPILOGUE (Repared) : http://www28.zippyshare.com/v/64990818/file.html
I hope it will help you to complete your edition 😉
??? What 2CD release are you talking about? The only official release I know was by Warner Bros. Records, and that one had 43 minutes of score.

Of course it’s a fake…Definitely a big one…I mean… a bad one !! LOL
You’re welcome 😉 And your edition and its audio-quality will help me to complete my personnal edition…when I will have time to prepar it … 🙁 Back to school (as a teacher) after Christmas Holidays…so… lot of work 😉
Yeah, bgray deserves a bit of respect here. He worked hard on his release, just to fill the gaps that are still present, even with the Recording Sessions out there. So please give him some slack.
My own project is getting nearer the end… what a daunting task this is.

Im waiting for your edition, keep it up.
Ok then, but how did you do it then when its not converted?
Okay, but at least you agree that you have up-converted the only available 128kbps files into 320kbps, yes? I understand that you put in considerably more work than simply doing an up-conversion (which actually does not do anything apart from preserving what little data was left as well as unnecessarily increasing file size). I just wanted to clarify that you knew you couldn’t improve or remaster the quality of any audio simply by changing it to a higher bit rate.
A lot of tracks from the PH-Sessions were already available on other editions, may be with bitrate 320kbps… These sessions contains only 7 true new tracks which are :
– 2m13 News Flash – Welcome to RAF (part 1)
– 2m17 Letters from Rafe (Film Version)
– 4m28C Japanese Disappear (Film Version)
– 4m35 Rafe Gets The News (Film Version)
– 7m47A Aftermath – Hospital Chaos (part 1)
– 8m57 30 Seconds Over Tokyo (Film Version)
– 9m60 Empty Tanks – Pinned Down
For the other tracks, nothing really new (except the 2 versions of "Lament"… unused cues). Perhaps bgray used these other editions to create is own edition…
Seconded.
Seconded.
Here you go Bishty and Kolpitz. I can’t count how many times you have helped me out with reuploads Bishty so I am glad to finally help you!

Thanks for all the wonderful comments guys and gals, I wouldn’t want anyone to miss out on this masterpiece!
You do not need to rename anything.
You open the Tennessee.zip.001 component with an application that can handle multi-part zip files with passwords. The .002 and .003 files are automatically accessed.
On my Mac I use, Stuffit Expander, Unarchiver, and Keka. All of those open the files.
Perhaps you need some new software… there are many available free on the internet.
No worries avidpro, I’ll walk you through the extraction process. If you are on Windows download Winrar found here: WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files (http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm) or if you are on a MAC, download Keka found here: Keka – the free Mac OS X file archiver (http://www.kekaosx.com/en/). Both these extraction programs are free and very easy to use. Once installed, make sure that the program is set to open all the file types it supports. Sometimes, the program has these extra features turned off even though the program supports the file type. Once done, open the file Tennessee.zip.001 with one of the programs mentioned above. Always start with the first part when dealing with split files like this. If you don’t, you’ll probably get a message saying that the archive is incomplete. The program should automatically recognize the other files in the sequence and you are done! I hope this helps, enjoy!
Gah. Now clicking to remember this type of file opens with winrar, makes the .001 ending an extension actually and that part disappears, making it not be able to find the rest of its archive (when they are right there, just with .002 and .003 extensions). Sorry, but I’ve been using winzip and winrar since they first came out, and never had this sort of thing happen.

That’s weird, on Winrar’s site it says that it supports it. I’m on a MAC so I can’t test it for sure. You might want to follow Bioscope’s advice and try 7zip. I’m sorry you are having trouble extracting the files, keep me posted if you continue to have problems.
Thanks in advance for this great up!
This seems to be the only most-complete edition of this beautiful score.
I’m looking for this score. Please, someone upload it somewhere.
Thanks
No one’s got this version of the score anymore? Anybody?
