– 9m62 Sunset sounds not right… missing left channel during the track and volume is also not OK

thanks for this!!! really awesome. The difference between this and the tracklist on hz.com, the tracklist of hz.com add the cues from badelt website and insert mores cues from the expanded scores and the preview 44 track expanded score. Mix all these and you will have that tracklist.

I haven’t seen the film in a long time but I would say that the gaps in slate #’s are likely to belong to VA source cues. (re:missing cues)

I got all my tracks extracted by downloading from SENDSPACE via FIREFOX. Steady download, no interruptions or dropouts. Then I used WINRAR and it reported no errors 🙂

Please do so, I have 4 or 5 different editions, some of them with more than 4discs of music, a "definite edition" is most-welcome.

So after much deliberation and playing and stopping and renaming and checking and then re-checking, here’s my compiled complete score for Pearl Harbor. I’ve based this track listing off of the track list you can find on Hans-Zimmer.com and I’ve tried to match the cue names as closely as possible. Is that weird or what… no problem with the first package, but the 2nd had corrupted files. I downloaded it 4 times and got all files extracted, since the corrupted files were different each time… Have never experienced that before

thats exactly what i had to do. Downloaded 3 times until i eventually extracted every track.

I am currently reuploading everything in one file. Give me about another 1 hour or so. So hopefully it will work a little better.

Yes, that’s exactly what I was thinking of doing. And crossreference all tracks with the original mix and that should give the most complete ultimate edition ‘movie version’ of PH to date. I’m not sure of adding additional dialogues though, this movie has a completely different narrative than TTRL. What do you guys think?

I have those editions from Pearl Harbor :
– Original Score
– Expanded score 18 tracks (created from the 4 DVD director’s cut, isolated score)
– Sessions 66 tracks
– And, of course, all music trailer from the 3 CD edition (with rares SFX for some tracks)

But this ultimate edition I’ll realise will be without any SFX 😉

I realised that I don’t have anymore this edition 2 CD : Almost Complete Score :

I will need this edition to make an Ultimate Edition, because there’s some other alternate cues 😉 Does someone have it to share ? Thanks… 😉

Hello. Here is my attempt to combine the three parts of AIRFIELD FIGHTING BACK, using the old expanded score BATTLE OVER PEARL HARBOR isolated score mix as a guide. I combined the sessions’ three parts, took out the unused bits, replaced them with the inserts, and cheated with 30secs from the iso mix that must have been a post production microedit that I couldn’t emulate without losing all my marbles.

At least now there are no iso score type volume fluctuations present that I can hear…Enjoy!

Awesome, can I use this for the Ultimate Edition? With your permission I would like to add this to my workspace… also gives me a little less work 😉 you’ll be credited of course…

For an update on the project, started assembling all source material and ripped the dts track, seperated the channels and imported all in my workspace. The Pearl Harbor Ultimate Edition project has oficially begun. 🙂

Already noticed some major differences, mostly the tracks in the film version are shorter, edited much tighter. Trying to recreate that with the sessions and expanded scores…
I guess it’ll take me a few weeks to complete (but I expect it not to be as long as TTRL).

Also got a request… can someone already maybe post a few concepts for the cover art? Would like to keep it in the same layout/style as TTRL covers (more or less)… I prefer HD screencaps from the film itself as background (but anything goes as a concept). That would be awesome and spare me lots of time in the end. From the community, for the community!

Fortunately, you’ve pinpointed the exact scene that’s causing havoc in my edit, lol. There’s some music released from this sequence of the film, but the "Pinned Down" scenes and right before that can’t be found. Being a stickler for quality, this may not see daylight from me as I’d rather have the most in best quality instead of everything in crappy quality. That’s just my viewpoint. Anyway, that’s for the lead. Still working hard with StRuPiE on this edit, and hopefully it will be released to the masses next week.

Yeah, I’d say these "aren’t complete" instead of "fake." A lot of these cues are correct and include portions of music that have never been heard before, but there are subtle differences that may frustrate the audiophile in us all.

I don’t think they’re fake. They’re just not what’s recorded and used in the film. As is often the case with recording sessions. Take the new Conan release for example: Some of the tracks aren’t used in the film at all, while some others clearly are different from the film version. Many of the tracks may sound the same but when you compare them more thoroughly, there are subtle differences that are annoying enough as bgray1016 says.

Just wait for the release bgray or myself are preparing. Those will feature the tracks from the sessions without the annoying silences.

For a status update on my personal project: currently, I’m halfway. I also decided to feature the source music as they appear in the film, this includes the orchestral ballroom music composed by Bruce L. Fowler ("Tiny Shoulderpads" and "Bunk Bed Blues"). I don’t think they have ever been leaked before, surely not on the expandeds as far as I know. I tried isolating as much background noise as I could, leveled the volume throughout the track and cut the music as heard in the film. They sound as if they were played Live in front of an audience, turned out quite nicely if you ask me! Same goes for the other source music, all are cut the same way as heard in the movie (more or less) and some are shortened by half (but not less interesting). The most difficult part has yet to come though, the final act! I’ll keep you posted…
