I’m sketchy on the details, but scorepranos and quite a few other people on this forum have this secret club where they share recording sessions and swear never to release them.
kgray decided to be a man and uploaded his rare scores so that us lesser folk not in the circle can enjoy them.
Of course, now scorepranos, bollenmanke, and anyone else in the ‘secret club’ are pissed off and will never give kgray anything ever again.
To the others, all your wishlists are going to surface so much later because some idiot is on a leaking spray. You can say what you want, but people like scoreman, scorepranos and piano know when they can share something. And don’t tell me you got it just from soulseek, because that’s bullshit. YOu either abused a private contact on soulseek, or I dunno, but I advise you to stop this.

Too late for that. It confuses me that having a democracy that works could also mean hypocrisy running high depending on who’s benefiting from it or not. Ah, now it gets really interesting. I assume that many people here are men. Which means that every single one of them owns a co** (I hope). Why do men buy a big and fast car? To brag. Actually, I’m getting errors trying to convert that track to ANY other lossless format. I’ve downloaded the first archive twice, but it’s always the same track "Orlov’s Story" that seems to be corrupted. Like you, I’m using dbpoweramp.

Since you both are using dbPowerAmp proceed like this: go into the configuration options ("dbPoweramp Configuration"). Then go to the tab "Codecs" and after that click "Advanced Options". Scroll down till you reach "Decoder Options". There you can configure the FLAC decoder to ignore stream errors. ‘Orlov’s Story’ will then be processed without incident. There will be a slight pop – that�s all. If all goes wrong, simply edit it to include the original material from the official CD. But adapt the gain before you do that.

I would recommend it highly. The album presentation was atrocious, but this is a far superior edition. I say get it, listen to it, and if you hate it, you can always delete it 🙂

I considered not posting on this, because quite frankly i missed the last couple of days crazyness, and seems that it’s starting to cool down, but after reading all the shit that’s gone down, i got to that post and had to post.
That single sentence screams volumes to me. You wanted everything to stay the way it was, with you in power, and the collection of rare trinkets you had just got a little smaller, and that scares you.

Then your setup must produce errors because these sessions are completely free of distortions. But they are in 48 kHz instead of 44.1, so you might have some bad resampling kicking in.

No. There’s no really "elitism" actually in this soundtrack area. Just a bunch of people living in fear ! – either fear to be cut off from a private circuit for being leaking out stuff, or at the level above the ones who asked this because they don’t want their production, whatever it is the original studios or the little compagnies that are in charge of the DVDs and BDs releases, to investigate about who can be leaking their material.
Anyway, any discussion about a member or another is totally pointless. You don’t know their lives, their job, their contact, anything. Speculations is all you can do.
Now, I’m not a hard soundtrack collector but having searched for a couple of special ones not long ago for some gifts and having found a great PHYSICAL contact who could find any thing, I can tell you there are an incredible amount of scores of any period in complete form or sessions that I browsed I have never seen on the Internet. Just so you know there are still people who meet on this planet and they don’t forcedly need the Internet for that, neither to share their stuff.
… That should make both sides of the debate seeing the rubbish of the conversation.

It says the contents of these rars are corrupted/they are supposed to be one archive….were these originally one rar?
I did. When I extract 2 and 3, it fails partway through and says, "Operation failed: Parts of the spanned archive are missing or corrupted. Please put all parts in the same folder. Then open the first part only…"

to be fair, I’ve never seen archives split into multiple chunks that actually ended in the archive extension. normally partial archives end in .part1, .part2, etc
