Billy Elliot Promotional Score – Stephen Warbeck

Hi guys!

So after much searching, I finally found the Promotional Score for Billy Elliot (the 2000 movie) composed by Stephen Warbeck. It’s awesome! However, Link was taken down. Sorry, no more downloading.

Thank you. Been a while since I listened to the official CD release, but it was missing so much of the score from the movie and rather disappointing.

Yeah! Not that I don’t love the official CD release, I also loved the songs used in the movie. This score is so great though, and I think it’s not really that well known, esp. since it’s an older movie, from 2000.

Surprisingly however, the FYC of the Billy Elliot Score (which is the only release of the score available) has only 9 tracks! I wonder why this is? Maybe in the 2000’s FYC’s were shorter???

Which also makes the fact that this score is just 9 tracks long (with 2 tracks less than 1:00) even weirder, because from what I gathered from my research, the score from Billy Elliot was nominated for an award…you’d think it’d be longer.

But hey, this, combined with the official CD release, makes a super complete Billy Elliot soundtrack, and one that’s a joy to listen to. Glad you enjoyed what I posted!

I’m am SO SO SO sorry that the tracks are just labeled "track 01, track 02" ect, but that was because I couldn’t find the tracklisting for this obscure little score. If anyone could maybe find it and post it here, that’d be amazing!

But these promotional score doesn’t contain a sad piano version, which is played when Billy is teaching Michael the ballet essentials, before he starts erupting in a dance before his dad 🙁
