Hullo Community, I want to give back to you. And with something close to my heart: the music of the original Ape Escape PS1 game.

I recently replayed the game and became inspired to attempt an ‘extended’ soundtrack. There seems to be only one other Ape Escape OST floating around out there. I’ve no complaints with it really but I want to make something better. My main idea is to offer the less-melody (or whatever you’d call it) versions of each area’s music that plays while you are laying down on top of excellent quality re-rips already ~adequately~ ripped songs. Also something I’ve noticed with the existing rip is some of the songs fade out before the second loop finishes as they’ve not treated the slightly different intro as such. also only ~180kbps

Nao! I’ve attached 2 sample tracks and all the settings I’ve come across while working on this. I beg for ANY advice and suggestions. I will not be spending any money on this, just time and I will not attempt learning to rip music from the game files for just one project. Thanks for reading this far and do leave any comments even if just a show of interest!
Thank you and goodnight!

Well that was disappointing. Project is now on indefinite hiatus. (Cancelled) I just can’t justify the time spent on this if just for my own listening pleasure. Call me a fool but I honestly expected a few comments of interest and was hoping for some advice/suggestions but none of either? Bad feels 🙁 Maybe if I posted in the download links section…

The Ape Escape soundtrack has already been ripped. I wouldn’t be willing to download (for free) the songs that played while lying down. It would be like listening to all the variations in Banjo Kazooie. Why? The only way I would download a new rip of Ape Escape would be for the same reason I would download a new rip of Soul Reaver – it must be in lossless. I think your devotion is admirable, but you have to realize most people don’t care about *all* of the music from a video game, especially when a soundtrack has hundreds of songs that are just slight variations on each other. I’m the craziest collector that exists, but even I don’t care about that type of completeness.

I would be interested in the recordings of the variations when you’re lying down and so on yeah!
