Fresh Prince
Saved By The Bell
Boy Meets World
Buffy/Angel
The Zordan Era of Power Rangers
Beetleborgs
Are You Afraid Of The Dark?
TMNT (1987) – the lighter episodes. Hated when it went dark from Season 6? and on
Batman TAS
Justice League/JLU
Spiderman TAS
X-Men TAS
Boy, do I wish these shows were still going!!! I know it’d probably be impossible for the animated ones. But aside from TMNT, they didn’t last as long as I feel they could have. Especially Spiderman as that really didn’t have much of an ending as I read Season 6 would’ve revealed MJ being stuck in limbo.
I know I’m leaving some out. I’ll add them once they get in my head lol.
Oh yeah. I have a hard time watching season 6 of Fresh Prince. Mist of the time, I can’t stop watching the first two seasons. And that’s just cause they’re some of the best episodes.
I’m gonna add King Arthur and The Knights Of Justice. The theme is still one of my favorite TV Themes.
Deadwood.
@Dr Faustus: Don’t remember the D&D cartoon. But a show ending on a cliffhanger, as in without a proper and conclusive ending isn’t new. Lots of show, some really great and some not so great, have suffered that. Makes me wonder why they bother creating a show if they don’t plan on having a proper ending. If they know a show is gonna be cancelled for whatever reason, they should give some type of proper conclusion in some format so we know how it ends or was supposed to end.
When you read about the plans for season 5, that just rubs salt in the wound. And the last episode was just terrible!

I actually preferred Voyager and Deep Space 9 over Enterprise, which I did like as well very much. Nothing will top The Next Generation IMO though. NOTHING. And I mean strictly Star Trek wise.
Gonna add Simpsons here. I know it hasn’t ended as a show. But the good episodes long passed. At least in terms of writing. I saw the last episode and it was not up to what I believed was typical Simpsons standards which were very good when I saw the show often than I do now. These days, I only watch the Halloween ones because despite the current ones being brutal, they are better than the rest of the seasons. This is just as opinion of mine though.
All good shows. Didn’t really like A-Team too much. But I have MacGyver on DVD. 24 (became a fan of Kiefer Sutherland since Dark City) and X-Files, I watch where I can. They all lasted a long time, except A-Team.
Show to see sad end…..gonna add Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena.
Puppet’s Who Kill
King Of The Hill
Malcolm In The Middle
Breaking Bad (Technically coming to an end soon, but I’m already sad)

That has got to be a pretty ridiculous decision. Breaking Bad’s one of the top shows of recent memory and in the last several years is to end it after only 5 seasons is pretty crazy if you ask me. Usually shows with the steam that show has go on for at least 7-8 seasons. How a show like this sis ending after 5 seasons while Simpsons which has seriously gone down in quality is still going is beyond me.
Then again, best to end a show at a high note rather than keep it going too long like Simpsons. I mean the only Simpsons shows I watch these days are the Halloween ones and even those aren’t as good as every episode from the earlier seasons.
MXC
MythQuest
Teen Titans
Ed, Edd n’ Eddy
SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadran
I’m sure there’s more…
King Of The Hill
Malcolm In The Middle
Also sad about these… the only reason King Of The Hill ended was because Brittany Murphy (LuAnne) died. I don’t want to be THAT person but it was sad and everything when she died, but it didn’t have to end because of that. It was an enjoyable show and I think it was consistantly good throughout it’s entire run unlike the Simpsons which kinda lost it’s spark after the 2000’s like phenomangel stated. I pretty much only watch it for the Treehouse of Horror episodes.
The Shield: It had to come to a fitting, yet sad ending.
Dead Like Me: Seriously. My favorite show. Just down the toilet it went after a two season run…
Terra Nova
‘That one cartoon on WB’
MXC
MythQuest
Teen Titans
Ed, Edd n’ Eddy
SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadran
I’m sure there’s more…

I think they ended Hill out of respect for her. I could be wrong about that. But let’s look at it from the other side though. Suppose the show had gone on longer than it did, it would have lost it’s spark too and would be worse than Simpsons once that happened. From my personal experience, Hill wasn’t as popular as Simpsons was the earlier seasons of both shows. Mike Judge’s (creator of King Of The Hill) most popular claim to fame is still Beavis and Butt-Head and I can’t see that changing anytime soon. Just my opinion.
I wish this is what they had done with Newsradio because after Phil Hartman died the show completely tanked. You just can’t replace someone as special as him, especially not with Jon Lovitz.
Particularly,
Friends
Star Trek TOS
Alf
Outsourced
Better Off Ted (!!!)
Law & Order (no kidding! – they should have given the show that one additional season to beat Gunsmoke!)
Avatar The Last Airbender
Young Justice
Boston Legal
Boss
Justice League Unlimited
Oh oh and 24. Hated that it ended. Was so happy when Live Another Day was announced.
Yeah, I know the script is available to see what was gonna happen, but it still irritated me slightly.
Angel! I Just Wanna Know How The Battle Went
Enterprise Again Why?
Whitechapel Cancelled Again WHY?
Stargate Universe (But On The Other Hand Not To Upset Otherwise Robert Caryle Would Not Be In OUAT!)
Farscape Loved That
Almost human 🙁
Firefly
ST Enterprise
and NBC’s Ed
You mean NBC’s Surface which ran Fall of 2005, but lost it’s fan base when it went off the air for the Olympics? I knew NBC had lost faith in the show when it changed their order from 22 episodes to 15 which caused the season finale to happen way sooner then the creators of the show wanted.
Friends. Probably shouldn’t really go more than 10 seasons but I loved every one of them. Great ending though.
And right now, Parenthood. I guess 6 seasons is a lot. But having a shortened season sucks as they brought up so a lot of new great storylines at the end of season 5.
Why, you ask?
Well, I happen to have four pretty damn good reasons…
1. As a ’90s Nick kid (a fact that I proudly admit), I can appreciate that, in terms of story content, this is – as a superhero coming-of-age tale – the most adult cartoon to ever air on Nickelodeon (plenty of character growth throughout, and the comedic element is relatively sparse).
2. As voice-over actors & actresses go, this show is a meeting of some of the entertainment industry’s alumni: David Kaufman (Jimmy Olsen from Superman: the Animated Series and Jaybo Hood from STAR WARS: The Clone Wars, Season 1), Grey Delisle-Griffin (Daphne Blake from the latest Scooby-Doo cartoons), Colleen O’Shaugnessey (the voice of Sora from the American dub of Digimon: Digital Monsters’s first two seasons and the latest voice for Miles "Tails" Prower from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise), Kevin Michael Richardson (Captain Gantu from Disney’s ‘Lilo & Stitch’ franchise, Shredder from the latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon and Bulkhead from Transformers: Prime, to name a few), Ron Perlman (Fleet Admiral Terrence Hood from the Halo video games), Michael Dorn (Worf from Star Trek: The Next Generation and beyond), Cree Summer (Abigail & Cree Lincoln from Codename: Kids Next Door and Penny from Inspector Gadget), Mark Hamill (Joker from the DC Animated Universe, but he really hit the ground running as Luke Skywalker in the original STAR WARS trilogy – and is reprising the role starting in Episode 7 – The Force Awakens), James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi in every STAR WARS cartoon over the past decade or so) and such highly-respected actors as Martin Mull and the late David Carradine, God rest his soul.
3. In recent years, the show has accumulated a colossal fan-base (take a look at fanfiction.net and Archive of Our Own for plenty of Phan-written stories, and krossan.deviantart.com for perhaps the single greatest webcomic you’ll ever read – with the blessings of show creator Butch Hartman himself on Twitter).
4. Any half-decent Hollywood writer hoping to present an honest brother-sister relationship should use as their model that between Danny and Jazz (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10094759/1/The-Team-Phantom-Handbook" by Xenopsyche – part of the Knife’s Edge timeline, wherein the events of "The Ultimate Enemy" left a much deeper psychological impact on Danny than first thought – describes their bond as starting out overly maternal on Jazz’s part and almost exclusively antagonistic until the events of S1E09 "My Brother’s Keeper"; as a result, she learns to relax and enjoy life, letting Danny grow on his own until the time feels right for either party to come forward with the truth – either to each other or to their parents).
So, if you haven’t watched the show before, get out there and grab the complete series box-set on DVD from SHOUT! Factory – you’ll be glad you did.

Hannibal?
Best new show in a LONG time.
:/
There may be a chance for hannibal. Apparently netflix is looking to pick it up.
I agree Mr Gold. Boardwalk Empire had so much potential for a longer run. I would have rather seen HBO continue with this series and drop an easy dozen of their other offerings instead.
I Know I Feel It Had Another 2-3 Seasons. 5 Seemed Rushed With 8 Epsiodes And The Ending Was A Bit… Well OMG!
VR 5 was totally new to me, never heard of it, found it in torrents. I will try.

VR.5 (Virtual Reality 5) was a show that premiered on the FOX network in 1995 and it was originally paired with the X-Files. The show was ahead of its time and kinda trippy but it didn’t get the ratings it needed and was cancelled after only 13 episodes. 🙁
The Wire was a great show too but that tied itself up beautifully, as did the others I suppose.
Wonder Showzen: disturbing, trippy and darkly hilarious. It was one of the last shows I remember from mainstream TV not being afraid of offending without limits. The world needs that.
Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job! – The undisputed kings of disturbing and bizarrely ridiculous.
The Wire. It’s one of the best, maybe even the best TV drama series to date. But I suppose it ended at the exact right time. It made its point: things will never change if the unwinnable "war on drugs" continues.
Quantum Leap. Doctor Beckett never made it home and that’s a huge downer.
The Pretender. Though the twists got redundant by the end, the story was left unfinished.
Firefly. I was sceptical before I watched this show because it was lauded everywhere to the point of annoyance. But it’s true that it ended way too early.

BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD…but the final episode was perfection.
Danny Phantom. I love this show and I was really sad to watch the last episode because it felt like there was still lots of room for more stories. I mean, Danny just got cool ice powers like 2 episodes before the end.
Edit: Oops, 5th, not 4th.
I Think You Mean Fifth Season. There Were 4 Seasons Plus the 2 Part Mini Series (Peacekeeper’s War)

If you do not have cable You could get Fibreop or some other DVR service or like l said just watch it online on the ABC and CTV sites. Rating it full stars on Netflix or similar paid streaming services that offer it will also help.Rememebr as well that if yo uwatch it on your DVR do not watch it anymore than week after the initial airing otherwise it will not ocunt towards ratings.
Invasion (it ended on a cliffhanger)
Warehouse 13
Veronica Mars
Special Unit 2
As for shows that I will be sad to see end…
Show of hands: who else here is already looking forward to the finales of Gravity Falls and Mythbusters in the coming year?
Jericho – In the "Could have been excellent but was killed/crippled by the network" Sad/Angry category.
Grimm…
Black Sails…
I love the Score for Black Sails. While vacationing at a beach resort, I put headphones on & just gazed out at the ocean.
I just waited for a pirate ship to appear on the horizon. I think Black Sales has probably told it’s story, but I’ll miss it.
Not ready to let go of Grimm, however! It’s just too fun. =)
It’s been around SO LONG…and yet we all knew it was going to end this year.
Hope to see Angel on something else, I just like the guys’ on screen presence.
Teen Titans
Futurama
Justice League
Scrubs
Batman TAS
Spider-Man TAS
Smallville (which wasn’t that good, but it was something I watched throughout its run)
Avengers Earth Mightiest Heroes
I won’t spoil anything, but it was oh-so-satisfying to see karma finally rip Aku to pieces after so long.
Agreed! Can’t wait for the new DS9 documentary that’s being made.
I just binged all 7 seasons last month, and I agree wholeheartedly. I would have loved to have had another season. It was just so freaking good.
In addition to TWW, I’m still bitter that Hannibal was canceled. It could have kept going, and it was just utterly brilliant in every way possible.
Boss – seems like they just decided to stop in the middle of the story
Entourage
The Killing
A short-lived drama set in an intelligence agency/think tank with a slow but compellig pace and workplace dynamic. It’s more to the tone of Cold War conspiracy thrillers like Three Days of Condor or John le Carr pieces, than 24, Burn Notice or Homeland. It brings new flavours to the very familiar spy story & gigantic conspiracy to unravel tropes, but its broad & slowly build foundation was too slow for modern but pre-Netflix TV networks. They show a more realistic setting of the intelligence world, with many moments one dearly misses from series/movies after you’ve seen them here.
The story they do manage to tell is luckliy more or less self-contained in the 13-episode-arc, although it would have been really interesting to see it go from there.
If you’ve seen Mr. Robot and are a fan of Philip Price’s intensity of screen presence, Michael Cristofer plays a similar role here
Batman Beyond
Firefly
Just watched the series finale tonight (as of this posting).
Once again, no spoilers – but, by the Force, IT. WAS. EPIC!
Babylon 5
Salem, cancelled after 3 seasons.
Psych. Ended or cancelled, I’m not sure. It just felt like USA was clearing its slate of quirky, semi-serious shows so they could cash in on the violent melodramas they run now.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine – The first Star Trek show with consistent serialized storytelling let us get to know the characters like none of the other shows at that point. This was a genuine good-bye and I felt it.
Sense8.
Damn, they blew the place up … there was no coming back from that. 🙁
Stargate and Stargate Atlantis:
Although Atlantis did have a proper and satisfying end.
Stargate Universe:
Just the most frustrating and disappointing "pulling" of a TV series I’ve ever encountered. Two seasons and they didn’t even bother to give us any kind of an ending. A great cliff-hanger at the end of Season 2, and then nothing. Just leave everyone hanging, unfulfilled and frustrated. So disrespectful.
If I had a magic lantern I’d only need one wish … put me on the "Destiny" and let’s see what’s out there.
