thank you so much! 🙂

appreciate the thanks, but maybe im not the one you should be thanking.
Well if you had anything to do with this, than I thank you as well!
The chosen one has returned!!!!!
Oh yeah, thanks for Tron. He returns!!!!!
Don’t know yet, listening to this now for the first time as I type, but that goes without saying, of course you should get this set to replace mine. And THANK YOU scorepranos, you just made my Christmas! I knew there was a reason I had to check the shrine before hitting the sack tonight. Only problem is now I have to put off bedtime for a couple more hours, but that’s a great problem to have.
To anyone involved in the uploading and sharing of this score…I am speechless. I am without speech.
If you ever need a liver, it’s yours.

i’ll call you in 40 years 😉
that’s my new alarm. :doc:
On a side note – Scorepranos, please don’t let the haters get you down. You are a HUGE reason why so many of us have been able to listen to music that we may have NEVER heard before. And for that reason alone, you are a valuable and respected member of our community. Merry Christmas!

I’ve seen some morons (new users) posting saying they were with Disney and THEI WIL GETZ THIS PLAEC SHUTZ DOWN CONSEQUENCEZ WIL NEVA BE DA SAEM! Needless to say if they really were affiliated with Disney, they wouldn’t post here, you’d just see "forums.ffshrine.org has been taken down due to copyright claims" etc etc. Disney probably don’t even care that much, unless they plan on making money from the complete scores (which it’s obvious they are not). I want to see more Disney too (heck, if it can be stretched to, The Lion King, and I understand that Disney own the master rights to another of my holy grails, Digimon The Movie).

You’re implying everyone knew about all of this unreleased music. Tell me, what’s unreleased? Everything on the OST (except the Overture) and sessions are included in the film. Did I miss an article or something that states it’s a fact there’s a ton of unused music somewhere?
Q: Ive heard this from one or two people. Something that everyone is raving about is the pairing of your movie with Daft Punk, people are just going bananas for it. Of the songs that you used in the film, are there a lot of unreleased tracks that were made for this film that will maybe be eventually released?
Kosinski: Yeah. We had to lock the album like two months before I finished the movie. So, when I was mixing up at Skywalker, the song that I put in the Solar Sailor sequence isnt even on the album. And then one of the songs we do in the End of Line club we hadnt even written yet. So theres a song in the End of Line club, the one where Zeus says Change this game all to the mood, electrify the boys and girls the song that kicks in there and goes all the way up to the black guard fight, that songs not on the album, thats in the movie only. Its a really cool song, its a really industrial rock kind of pounding. And then the Solar Sailor song, which is one of my favorites, I dont think is on the album either. Its actually a version of the first demo they ever gave me in 2007. Its this very kind of arpeggiated thing thats all in the surrounds, and its for that whole Quorra operation sequence, and then the song that was there I put in the end credits. And thats the one that made it on the album.
Q: You mentioned to me that they gave you like 26 demos back in the day. I have the soundtrack, I dont think theres 26 tracks
Kosinski: No, no Ive got a bunch of demos that we just never fit in the movie, theres a lot of great stuff.
Q: So you basically dont know what may or may not happen with the unreleased songs?
Kosinski: No I imagine those two songs that we finished for the film will eventually come out as some sort of bonus track or special edition. But that wasnt a calculated thing, literally when the album had to be printed those songs werent in the movie yet, so thats why those exist. But in terms of all the demos, yeah I dont know whatll happen to those. Only I have em and Daft has them. I dont know if theyd ever want them released. Im sure that maybe one day, in the Daft Punk b-sides collection.

This article is not exactly accurate. Clearly, anyone who’s seen the film enough times and knows the score well knows it’s inaccurate.
1.) The piece used in the Solar Sailer sequence is "Solar Sailer", which is track 15 on the OST
2.) All the songs heard in the End of Line club are: "End of Line" (track 12 on OST), "Castor" (track 4 on disc 2 Special Edition OST), "Derezzed" (track 13 on OST) and "Fall" (track 14 on OST).
im in full agreement. if they wanted to pursue lawsuits against anyone here, they would go after anyone and everyone who shared anything that Disney owns–both officially- and unofficially-released media. wouldn’t matter. (that being said, isn’t it curious that he ONLY seems to post about the rare scores and nothing else? i smell something.)
also, this site would likely be taken down as well, as you [ggctuk2005] mentioned, due to copyright claims and we’d probably see a banner on the ffshrine homepage that would look similar to the one on megaupload.
thirdly, if these users were in fact affiliated in disney, they wouldnt be taking the time to register a username and hunt down all disney threads and post threats on them. at most, they would be getting IP addresses and maybe possibly sending a few letters of warning. a fair amount of disney shit has been shared on this forum already, and so far no legitimate interventions from walt disney pictures.
and finally, the douche who has been posting threats (e.g. polar express sessions troll thread) is probably just another collector who is not even REMOTELY affiliated with disney who has rare disney scores and is pissed off that the POTC and TRON sessions have been leaked which means that now he’s running out of high-quality shit to trade with. so now he’s parading around the forum and publicly threatening users here like a little bitch to scare them out of wanting to share the scores to keep the value high.
only problem is, i think he fails to realize that the people with the rare shit aren’t as stupid as he hopes they are.
———- Post added at 11:38 PM ———- Previous post was at 11:37 PM ———-
I’ve….missed something, haven’t I? Who is threatening what?
Nothing. Just that Mr. Charles posted here and in PotC last night that Disney would take action about all of this. He "heard that’s what would happen", or something
Disney is invading our home.
It’s time we start the Avenger Initiative.

Minor correction here, DAK, the article is partially accurate. The piece used in the Solar Sailer sequence is Sea of Simulation, which was only released as an Amazon Exclusive mp3 and as part of the Collectors Digital EP mp3 set. Solar Sailer, track 15 on the OST, was only used in the end credits.
taking the one idiot who posted that weak-ass threat against scorepranos and some other dude on the polar express sessions troll thread, just as one example.
Right. I am wrong there. I didn’t say the whole thing was inaccurate, just that it’s not ENTIRELY accurate. It sounds like the interview took place before the film was finished, or maybe before the OST had the finishing touch
wait…it’s been posted? or did you mean that hypothetically
I think if Titanic were here people would literally be shitting their pants and balling their eyes out
5m29 is the OST equivalent of "Derezzed". Watch that scene in the film and you’ll know why it abruptly ends
Minor correction, Metro, and everyone reading this really. Dakota has said several times he dislikes being called Dak, as it is a slur of some sort where he is from, and if you need to use a nick to please call him DK…also, auto correct is insisting it is sailor, not sailer……
TRON 3 (TRON: LEGACY Sequel) News from Director Joseph Kosinski | Collider (http://collider.com/tron-3-tron-legacy-sequel-news-joseph-kosinski/217942/)
As for my implication…I could be incorrect. I just assumed that there was unreleased music somewhere (it’s possible I misread a post or something here a while back, I dunno). My apologies if I am wrong.
My sincere apologies for my ignorance, DAKoftheOTA, I’m sure you know no offense was intended. It won’t happen again. As for the auto correct, it can insist all it wants, but the track is still spelled sailEr.
Eh..it doesn’t bother me anymore. People have been calling me DAK for a while now, and I guess I’ve just grown accustomed to it. Besides, Dakota isn’t my real name anyway, so why should it bother me? Thanks though, appreciate it

2:01 mark
I have a quick question…don’t have access to the movie atm. But I know the end credits in the film start with the Legacy Theme. My question is, after that which part of which cues is used? I.E., Long & Short Credits and the specific order they are chopped up in. Unbelievable I cannot find the actual end credits from the film on Youtube…otherwise I would just go off of that.
Thanks again!

2.) Fall (OST)
5m30 Flynn Drops In (Sessions)
3.) Sunrise Prelude (Bonus Track, same on Sessions)
4.) Rectifier (OST)

5.) C.L.U. (OST)
7m41 Lightjets (Sessions)
6.) Flynn Lives (OST)
7m44 Portal Climax
7.) Solar Sailor (OST)
7m48a End Credits, pt. II (Sessions)

Help, please, because I’m REALLY wanting to get my hands on this! Unimaginable amount of kudos to those involved in bringing it to us!
EDIT: Oh, wait, ignore me – turns out the page was RIDICULOUSLY SLOW in loading up!
Probably because the film version was created during post production smart guy
Than it isn’t really the complete recording sessions. Even if it was changed in post the film version would be part of the recording sessions.
Mmm….gonna have to disagree with you there. Even Scorepranos would agree, I’m sure. Maybe he can chime in. The recording sessions is simply that – a session where the orchestra sits down and plays all their instruments and it is all recorded. Then the music is taken and edited to flow with the film. Example: the film version of "Optimus" from Transformers has the flute removed, yet on the sessions it’s present.
Also, this would be like saying the Pirates sessions aren’t the real sessions. So…yeah…

I’m gonna second this.
I am grateful for this tho, it’s really good.
Best part of the score still missing.
Rob
Best part of the score still missing.
Then I suggest you talk to the editor of the film.
Best part of the score still missing.
Track 42. You’re talking about the harp, right? Ya, well it’s there. This is the complete score. You’re not going to find any other complete version. None of that "ultimate complete score edition" bullshit.
I wouldn’t even tag this or those other leaks of the past few days as recording sessions tho… :bud:
I am grateful for this tho, it’s really good.
YOU wouldn’t, but most of the rest of the forum would. It may not be the sessions, but this is the legitimate complete score
I can only thank everyone a massive amount of times who’ve taken the time to share this music. Without them, my iPod would be blander with crappy album edits the album producers force you to listen to lol
I don’t know a whole lot about the scoring process, but as someone mentioned earlier, the recording sessions are just that – an orchestra sits down and they play through everything that was written for the film. If that’s the case, why are the songs by Journey and Eurythmics included? And given that coding before their track titles?
Please know I am not intimating I doubt the authenticity of this upload – I honestly just don’t know how pre-recorded material fits into the sessions as a whole and I’d like to know how that’s factored in.
Thanks.

Because it’s the complete soundtrack. Cues 2m06, 2m07, 5m25, 5m28 and 5m29 are all considered source cues, meaning they’re actually songs heard in the film. 2m06 & 07 are heard when Sam is in the arcade, and the Journey song is an homage to the first film, as Journey contributed a song specifically for the movie. It’s interesting to me how cues 5m25-29 are considered source music, as those tracks are Daft Punk, and they even appear on the OST. However, I believe they’re labeled as source cues because they’re heard in the End of Line Club, so maybe that’s considered "music" inside The Grid.

There aren’t many alternates, but can anyone share the knowledge of which ones are the most accurate versions? From reading I’ve gathered the film edits aren’t present, which is fine, but sometimes the ones labeled alternate were in fact chosen for the finished film. Is that the case with any of these? I know there is some confusion with Solar Sailer for example. If I’m reading correctly, the one marked alternate is the real version and the other one was used in the credits? I don’t have it on Blu-ray yet or I would just watch it and see. Thanks in advance.

While I’m excited for the prospect of a Tron 3 in general, I’m not holding my breath on it coming to fruition until they actually start casting the thing.
It makes me wanna cry. This is by far one of the best posts yet. Thank you so much!
Speaking of musician duos who have scored films: Does anyone have an FLAC rip of The Chemical Brothers’ Hanna score?
I couldn’t help but notice that two tracks are missing:
2M8A – Recognizer Capture (film version- the one included is 2M8B Alt.)
and 5M28 (Film edit version of "Castor").
2M8A – Recognizer Capture (film version- the one included is 2M8B Alt.)
The film version is included in Metrotokyo’s Blu-ray rip. The intro of the track, or the film mix of it must have been done after that cue was recorded.
and 5M28 (Film edit version of "Castor").
That too should be included on Metrotokyo’s edit. Either that, or it was one of the bonus tracks released after the OST came out. It’s one of the versions of "Castor"
I don’t believe ANY of the tracks included in this set are the film versions. I know for sure 2m08 isn’t, 5m30, 6m40 and 7m41. Those are off the top of my head
Awesome post!!!
End of Line
Thanks to OP and metrotokyo for all the work on this.
Thanks to OP and metrotokyo for all the work on this.
Because these are the raw sessions. Metrotokyo’s rip is the "film mix". That is why. This can be said for nearly every film score vs the sessions
Whoops, what I meant to ask was: What are the big differences in the sessions vs the metrotokyo mix? I scanned through them and didn’t hear much difference so far.
7M44 – Portal Climax (Full Score).pdf (http://www.mediafire.com/view/?bgtfox0ei8j17g9)
Well, Metrotokyo’s mix is very close to being the film mix. The sessions are more close to the OST. Such tracks as "2m08 Recognizer Capture", "6m40 Recovering the Disc" and "7m41 Lightjets" appear on the OST exactly as they do on the sessions. There are more similarities, those are just examples off the top of my head
7M44 – Portal Climax (Full Score).pdf (http://www.mediafire.com/view/?bgtfox0ei8j17g9)
Is this the real sheets? or just a transcription? I ask because I noticed on the sheets it said Flynn Lives rather than Portal Climax.
Probably because "Flynn Lives" is the OST version of "7m44 Portal Climax"
Yes I know that. But you would think that the sheet music would have the same titles as in the sessions.
I don’t know sheet music. Can it be fake? Or maybe it really is for "7m45 Flynn Lives"?
I can read sheet music and it is for Portal Climax.
Ok now you lost me. A minute ago you said it reads "Flynn Lives"
And if it’s from mgm, it’s real
And if it’s from mgm, it’s real
It is for Portal Climax. All im saying is that I find it weird that the sheets have the OST title on them.

i edited the content of the original upload and removed those (in total 12) mins of silence from before and after the tracks. its a bit of a smoother listening experience. conservative editing (no additional fade-ins and -outs although some of the original fades are excessively long). quality is the same. track order is slightly different.
