THE UNKNOWN CHAPLIN was a 3-part documentary about the great Charles Chaplin with rare footage from his life and filmmaking, Outtakes from his movies.
Produced by Kevin Brownlow and David Gill, narrated by James Mason.

There are some great moments in the show, for example the unfinished short-movie THE PROFESSOR, the unused prologue from CITY LIGHTS, or the Twins-Scene from CIRCUS

For the musical underscoring well-known Chaplin-tunes were used, as the titletheme comes from THE KID.
But there are also new compositions by Carl Davis.

Long time it was my wish to extract the music from the DVD and to the end of this year it’s finished with nearly 50 minutes

Of course I have deleted all the narrations 😉 – and as a special bonus I’ve added the DVD-Menue-Audios
