Composer: Matt Furniss

Here is the OSTs of T2: The Arcade Game, recorded from the headphone jack of a Model 1 Genesis with a VA3 revision motherboard. Audio was captured using a Behringer U-Phono UFO202 and Audacity 2.0.1. Aside from some volume optimization, this is raw audio straight from an actual console, no emulation. Each looping track was allowed to play twice, then given a 10-second fade-out.

Go Goat go! Keep em’ comin’! 😀 I know how tedious and boring this process can be. I appreciate it.

And thanks for communicating the details of your method. 🙂 I’ll be sure to note these things in the COMMENT tag on your rips for my collection.

I don’t think any of the Genesis with headphone jack should have any difference in sound as long as the amp is OK, with a Genesis 2 and other clones the difference will be really big, not only they don’t have the real Yamaha-brand FM chip, some of those don’t even have a real Z80 processor and that’s the brains behind the sound, I’ve heard a lot of game have problems with the Gen3 because of the lack of the Z80 and not only for the sound.
By the way, if anyone wants to rip music from a Master System Game, don’t use a Game Gear with a Master Gear, the sound will also be different, as with the Genesis 2, it has a compatible sound chip but some frequencies are played differently, and it seems it also applies some filtering, although I don’t know if it is in the amp or the chip itself.
