– Saint Seiya "first" individual volumes. Volume 1-8. The ones that are in this post. And some of us already got bootleg or taiwanese versions that float over the net.

– Saint Seiya – Eternal Edition (French edition) File 1-8 (double disc) which is the same as japanese Eternal Box but the tracks are splitted in more tracks. But i think the sources are the as the japanese one’s. ???someone can confirm this?

– Saint Seiya – Eternal Box Set. 13 CD’s, same as the previous plus Piano Fantasia, Hades Meiou and 3 CD’s with Complete Song Collection.

– Saint Seiya – Memorial Box. 5 CD’s, a mix of the previous but only selected some tracks (something like Best Of SS) + Drama tracks + Special vers. and really nothing else.

And its a rumour but for 2012 fall or 2013 another set with Omega first OST plus all the previous OST’s is coming… (another try to sell SS when the series are practically dead, and more after Hades anime, OVAS and the fucking Omega shit).

The French Eternal Edition is a bit different from the Japanese edition as it contains some Saint Seya French Main Titles and CD cover artworks have been done by J???r???me Alqui??? (http://www.jerome-alquie.com/travaux_serie_tv_de_notre_enfance_officiel_saint_s eiya.htm).

IMO Seiji compositions ARE something "avant-garde". Most of them are one of the most fukin’ awesome "tunes" i’ve ever heard FOR AN ANIME (with the Kenshin original ones). At least I find a lot of improvements which rips apart tons of Anime OST’s of those golden days AND some of the "new era" . Seriously the first 4 OST which covers Galaxian Wars-Sanctuary-12 Gold + Asgard (Yes, Asgard is pure gold) its one of my pleasures referring to my music tastes.

Toshihiko is another beast and sure deserve what he got till now but the series just now are CRAP. Heard the two OST’s of Omega and there are some very good pieces and with "Like Pegasus" it makes me putting a silly smile in my face when i was walking listening to it xD.

So thats what i want to clarify, that Omega OST’s are good (for me never will be better comparing to the true Seiya ones) but the series (animation) are worse than bad and IMO its a crime putting someone like Toshi work for this…

Dude, it’s been a joyride of stupidness… First there was this "elements" thing, supposedly caused from a meteor that fell in the middle of the battle between Athena and Mars. That caused cloths to change too. The idea was so stupid that they just "forgot" about it. Nowadays, after pulling a "Let’s copy the 12 temples saga more or less" scheme, it has gone bonkers. Read Wikipedia or something and keep avoiding it like the plague.

At least the soundtrack isn’t half bad. Nowhere like the original, but not bad. Better than Lost Canvas.

The only reason I knew something about this anime was purely by coincidence.
I saw the opening and I liked the female vocals in the Pegasus Fantasy.

To be honest the inferno saga and beyond were trash. The animation was terrible, everything was horrible after they were done with the first 13 episodes.. Basically saying Omega is not the worst like some are saying.

I think it’s a rip from the first movie (don’t know how), not a CD release… but it should match the original order of the master tape audio of the first movie, so who fuck released it? I don’t know if someone has taken the source from the eternal edition 10 years ago and then splitted and recoded all matching the master tape order (it should be on a booklet into the eternal edition file n.3-4 I guess)

About the mysterious OST IMO i also thought it was a fake, now i dont know anymore. I suppose he/she gets the tape master order somehow and via cut-paste in some audio edition program make the list, then its only matter of splitting via CUE. Anways, im interesting too in hear this to hear differences (If there’s some) could you upload this?

And for the Eternal VS the Def. Box. Im not pretty sure but the tracks in one relesae were cut to make "2 in 1" or something like this.

This is a fan made separate BGM Cues edition taken from the Japanese retail CD SAINT SEIYA Eternal Edition File 03 劇場版「聖闘士星矢」オリジナル・サウンドトラック篇 (COCX-32077) or this second release (same CD) SAINT SEIYA Eternal CD-BOX Disc 3 劇場版「聖闘士星矢」オリジナル・サウンドトラック篇 (COCX-35081).
There two releases are the soundtrack of Saint Seiya’s first Movie (Eris). In these CDs, all BGM cues inside each track are coded with index markers that can be navigated with index skip function compatible CD players (some old or audiophile ones).

This two phrases. I’m downloading that you posted, but want to understand those two phrases…

well, then,
take a look to the archive’s content: i’ve "kept", when i had the choice, the french box tracks —> if i’m correct, the japanese tracks inside the archive are exclusive to japanese editions
oppositely, some of the french box tracks (i don’t know exactly which ones, sorry [not especially the ones that are in the archive]) weren’t present in japaneses OST’s/boxes (& i’m not talking only of the french version of saint seiya’s main theme of course)

I use Medieval CUE Splitter, and if it works the same, it shouldn’t affect the quality, since is not reencoding nor converting, just dividing the file.

lol, what I meant is that usually licenses are very, VERY strict regarding this stuff. For example, the guys who were in charge of a release in DVD in Mexico of Saint Seiya, paid the license and did some restoration on the video and the audio, but check this: the spanish dubbed audio is in posession of Toei, so they don’t lend the masters, they just give a copy (like mono wav files, just to say) to work with.

So that’s what I’m saying: in order for the french edition to apply filters on the music, they should’ve been some restrictions of what they got, probably.

I also think it’s a shame that the Hades chapter (saga) doesn’t have a soundtrack. The only new song composed for the anime was the Orpheus’ theme and I don’t think this beautiful song be released in some new collection album soon.

That March of the Corona Temple is like the Holy Grail of Yokoyama’s music lovers. Honestly? Best bet is to extract it from the recently released movie-bluray. I highly doubt we’re ever gonna get anything else but a re-edition of the Eternal Box for anniversary reasons (to keep cashing). Maaaaaaybe a couple of unreleased tracks, but highly doubt there’s anything else. Toei is being cheap as hell lately.

And the "Corona March" is not the only bit missing from the actual Abel movie soundtrack. It’s also missing that part when Seiya, Shiryu and Hyouga don the gold cloths and attack Abel as one. It’s a glorious bit of music and it’s not even on the album. Instead, we get stuff from the Poseidon TV episodes, some of which already featured on the Poseidon album, IIRC. I’m glad I never had to pay for this.

Got an idea, that we may need to post a new thread about all Saint Seiya CDs with high quality. There are quite a few albums, but it is still much less than that of pokemon. But I believe this project won’t be easily completed by one single person, since maybe no one has all the CDs. So we may need to do this together. Hope to see your opinion about this.

I’m JNX from the old Saint Seiya Ice Planet forums, no idea why I didn’t choose my usual name here to register, but whatever lol I just came across with this thread cuz I was organizing my SS files and I noticed that I’m missing some files in lossless format. Most of the files I have, I’ve got them from the net, like the japanese version of the "Eternal Edition" and the "Complete Song Collection" which I got from a .torrent file loooooooooong time ago (And I have up if anyone wants it). I also bought couple of CDs, like the hard to find "The Hades – Chapter Sanctuary" CD single, the "Tenkai Hen" album and the "Lost Canvas – Opening & Ending Themes" album. but that soundtrack rip is not full disc rip, are missing some tracks, the complete soundtrack are 55 and the uploader in that thread shared are 44.

I agree with you. Some fans think they’re the only ones who can buy japanese merchandise. If they don’t want to share the album it’s ok, but if they share the album they must share the full/whole thing. Plus they edit the album. He said we must purchase the album to support the artist/composer, and he’s here sharing his own edition for a much better flow and listening experience. That’s bullshit.

That’s track 9 on the TV OST I or track 6 in CD 2 of the Eternal CD Box, titled "Sorrowful Brothers / Kanashiki Kyoudai Tachi". The beginning of the track is the second video you posted, by the end of the track you’ll find the melody on the first link.

Yes but the complete track cant be cutted in the same way that is in the first link. Try it, its no way.

That track you are looking for is an edit, if you need it a lot I can take care of cutting it so that it remains as it is in the video.
