ONE NIGHT AT McCOOL’S (Marc Shaiman) (lossless/flac)

Named for a bar in St. Louis, One Night at McCool’s was a 2001 crime-comedy with Matt Dillon as a bartender who hooks up with a beautiful lady and is coerced into committing crimes to support her lux lifestyle. For this odd mix of murder and mirth, Shaiman provided some typically-lovely slow music, punctuated by a little funk, salsa, and even a riff on the famous "Shaft" theme. The commercial soundtrack on Universal contained 11 pop vocals, and just one track of instrumental score. This disc has 35 tracks of score (some quite short!) totaling over 52 minutes.
